The Shuriken

So I've been conceptualizing my own Predator story, and every now and then I try and think up new ways to explain somethings with their tech, or habits, etc.

So for cloaking specifically, I wanted to think up a way that the tech is advanced, but also, rugged.

This is what I came up with, Yautja hunt and harvest a special organ on a different alien creature. This organ pumps a special liquid into the skin of the creature, causing it to become nearly invisible. A small electric charge is what turns the feature on and off.

When this liquid is harvested and "processed", the Yautja hunter lathers himself with it, it's a clear type liquid, so it'd be like rubbing KY Jelly on. From there, a small patch like piece of tech is placed on the Yautja's skin, and connected to the wrist computer. S small electric charge then activates the cloak.

This would also explain how water causes it to become disrupted.

What do you think?

The Predator showed it was a field generated by a device in the gauntlet, didn't it?

I've only seen clips of The Predator, all I know about cloaking in that movie was a little ball that the main guy swallows.
