Chiller Theatre has organized an Expo in New Jersey for October 25th-27th where two of the original cast of the 1987 film Predator will be guests at the event. Both Bill Duke (Mac) and Richard Chaves (Poncho) will be there, which is pretty cool for fans of the original film.

Always cool when you can still meet people from the original films.
The only person I was able to meet from the first Predator film was Sonny Landham.
Man, he was really in a good mood back then and super friendly.
We joked and he took a lot of time with each fan.
I got an autograph for a friend because he was sick in bed and couldn't go.
Sonny had written his well-being wishes with his autograph on the photo, it was the perfect surprise.
RIP Sonny

Wow that is awesome, that must of been a cool experience. Hoping this weekend I'll be able to say the same!

Agreed - I'm very excited to meet him. Growing up he was an icon in my house from his performance as Mac alone.

He was great as a dirty cop in Payback too, and has a great scene in Menace II Society. He even did a guest appearance in my favorite tv show of all time, Lost. I was so happy to see him in this !

CANNON

That's awesome and yeah for sure, he was also great in Commando. I'm definitely looking forward to meeting him, should be a lot of fun.

Here are some pictures from the expo this past weekend. It was a great time meeting Bill Duke (Mac) and Richard Chaves (Poncho) from the original 87' Predator film. I got to talk to them about their experience on set, how it was filming in the jungle and working with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura and Kevin Peter Hall.

The meeting was a memorable and nostalgic moment as the original Predator film holds a special place in my heart.

Nice man !

CANNON

Thanks bro, it was a lot of fun - both good guys.

Another photo to add from Richard Chavez' Instagram.

For how much time you got to talk to them ?

CANNON

So it was at their discretion but I would say Bill Duke around 5 minutes and Richard Chavez around 10.

Honestly it was a good amount of time that they took to talk, which I really respected and appreciated.

BigDaddyJohn

Any lesser known anecdotes they gave you ?

CANNON

Not specifically, but I did enjoy when Richard Chavez mentioned when he first got on set him and Jesse Ventura got along quickly as they were both Vietnam Vets. I can tell by the way he spoke about it, that meant a lot to him. Was also interesting to hear him speak about how the Jungle was tough and hot.

Most of the other conversation with both Bill and Richard were basically what we all already know about Arnold and Kevin Peter Hall.
