It's crazy how far along this got before they pulled the plug. That AVP ride looks cool, though even if it were closer there's no way I would have ridden it! It looks way too intense for me, and I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to extreme rides. But the theming for the whole area looks like it would have been super cool.

I feel you here! I'm not really a theme park person - I sit and have a little cry in a fetal position after I've been on one - but man, it looks like it would have been so well themed and so tempting, if only to go just to see the rest of the land and spend a fortune in the gift shop.

I did the Avengers ride at Disneyland Paris earlier this year, which seems to be kind of in the same vein as Descent into Darkness. That killed me. I went on the Spidey motion ride after and then had to go back to the room as I was done.

I don't think I've seen anything about that Avengers ride. It sounds like it's a drop ride of some sort? That alone would have been enough for me to decide never to do it!

When I was younger I had a fear of coasters. Riding a few at my local amusement park, Lagoon, started easing me into it. It wasn't when I was later in my teen years and rode Dueling Dragons at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando that I started to really enjoy them. Granted... I have been on some that are a bit intense even for me. I remember X2 at Magic Mountain in California made me its bitch.

Oddly enough It seems the Avengers ride in Disneyland Paris is a retheme of The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

Disney really needs to relax with the rethemes.

Apparently the Avengers ride being done in California is Disney finally copying Universal's Transformers/Spider-Man ride system.
