Today Sega and Gearbox have officially confirmed that Aliens: Colonial Marines will finally be making its way into E3. We can now reveal that a display, based on the iconic Hadley's Hope colony, has been made for the event.
“The guys worked really hard on making it feel very authentic from the universe” Gearbox told us.
Visitors will be lead inside of the display and have the chance to get a sneak peak of the game. Leading to the ultimate Colonial Marine experience.
Gearbox adds: “We will not only be showing off a piece of the Aliens: Colonial Marines campaign, but also demonstrating the co-op capabilities at the same time“.
If you’re lucky enough to head to E3, make sure to stop by Booth #2023 and let us know your impressions. Also just like in previous years, we will be doing an online coverage of the show. Make sure not to miss it!

We've all been waiting for this, time to sit back and let time float.
Maybe it's just me, but...that doesn't look exactly like the AvP2010 Alien.

The legs and tail are remarkably the same. Everything else the A:CM one has better. This may be because their models are not up to Gearbox but rather Sega or Fox.

It looks quite nasty and hideous (in a good way), its face definetly looks like the one from the movies.

Sounds like we'll be crawling YouTube and Twitter for vids then. Don't think Sega or GB are doing any shows or anything? At least today.

I imagine this going like a person playing Metal Gear Solid for the first time.
*Great one walks in*
Hello everyone I'd like to thank you for visiting this booth- *yadda yadda*
*Great one reaches into pants to get camera*
Lets begin the footage
*After recieving odd looks from having his hand in his pants the lights dim and he quickly pulls out his camera when no one looks*
(footage plays)
*Great one starts recording and the metal gear solid "!" appears on a marine gaurds head*
f**k
*Great one fends them off for all of two seconds*

Okay, so I got in. Aaannndddd, I am easily impressed and dissapointed. I'm giving them the benefit of doubt because it may have been early build. I wasn't able to get footage being rany pitchford was sitting to my right and the guy playing the demo o my left.
QuoteThe only thing that bugged me was; I'm so used to avp where you shoot the xenos they kinda dismember. None of that in the demo. The pulse rifle sounds like the smart gun in avp that really bugged. And ontop of that the ammo count never hit 99, always stayed at 50.
QuoteThey are introducing new types of xenos, one was in the demo. It looked like a big triceratops minus the horns.
QuoteI did like the atmosphere, and the fact that you have to hold the motion tracker.
QuoteIf you guys got any questions feel freet to ask
Sorry for typos and grammer I'm still at e3 and am posting this from th phone
Quote from: Salt The Fries on Jun 08, 2011, 10:54:16 PMHe blew him self up in a deleted scene after ripley gave him a grenade because he was facehugged and cacooned.
Do you think we'll get to see Burke or his remains and unearth more about him ??? After all, he shared the same fate as Dietrich, Apone and Hudson ???

That deleted scene is not canon. It was completely taken out because it would not have made sense. If Burke were to be there at all, he would at the most only have a Face Hugger on him. If Burke WAS taken to the AP though, he is dead. Everything in the AP is definitely destroyed. If the idea that there is another Hive or area outside the AP where hosts (Hudson?) was being taken to then that is where we will find out.

How is the AI in the game? Are the Marines (the ones which are not in your squad) just cannon fodder or do they help you in the game against the Xenos?
