Aside from Newt's Tale, the Alien movie tie-ins from Dark Horse weren't so hot either.

And even when the Art was good, the story would probs be shit (like the weird f**k Hicks x Newt bs)

Oh I was referring very specifically to the Alien3 and Resurrection adaptations.

The Alien 3 comic always seemed to me like the artist had to draw it from memory after having seen the film only once.
I always thought the Resurrection comic was cool but it's probably more of a nostalgia thing.

I was hoping for some good art with Romulus but it's not really wowing me. None of the marvel alien comics have been that great visually.
Except for the avengers vs aliens. The art is fantastic. Shame I have absolutely zero interest in anything to do with superhero's.

Resurrection's adaptation suffered from cramming the whole thing into two issues, but I remember liking the more cartoony style of it. Complimented the film's tone.

The style of this is similar to More Than Human or Xenogenesis. Okay but a bit too colourful.

Resurrection was way better.

I hope they adapt the whole film.

I thought the art was fine, but the coloring was dire in Newts Tale.

Not a giant fan of Resurrection art, too stylized.

Love the cover art for Newts Tale and A3, great stuff!

Bolton and Suydam ought to be taken to the cleaners for false advertising.

Bolton is perhaps my favourite alien artist of all time.

What I love about Newts Tale is the first half is full of blood and guts and pools of blood, tongues ripped out of mouths, heads missing, fountains of gore.
The second half (the movie part), nothing. Incredibly tame, just like the film.
