Skinamarink - 2022

Ok I get what the director was going for with this analog horror-like found footage film, but lately it doesn't work for me...and with everything and some cheap (and somewhat annoying) jump scares, it's just a boring extension of this short film made by the same director :

Actually not even said director was very clear about the concept, which was his debut...🤔

Anyway it's quite atmospheric and it's clearly inspired by modern horror tropes such as creepypastas or liminal space.

Do Revenge - 2022

It was a fun movie. As if someone took the premise of Alfred Hitchko's 'Strangers on a Train' to tell a story about two teenage girls struggling to survive in Bully-land, forging an alliance which takes a very unexpected twist, and as cliché this may sounds it worked for me. Sometimes I just need a good 'coming to age' dramedy to be happy. 😅👉👈

Possessor (2020)

Watched this in preparation for Brandon Cronenberg's new film Infinity Pool.

Still a really cool and interesting sci-fi horror film, with some awesome psychedelic sequences!
Brandon Cronenberg is a chip off the ol' block.

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Keanu gets asked if he believes in destiny, and Monica Bellucci is hanging around. This is just a previous iteration of the Matrix, change my mind.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

Just fancied watching it again. Interesting how similar it is in storyline to the intended plot for the Zack Snyder Justice League sequels.

The Night

Iranian horror about a family who take a wrong turn and end up in a creepy hotel.

Not bad but the ending leaves much to be desired.
