There's also one of the Marines in Aliens: Infestation. He's heavily implied to be a synth.

(Good thing I have a large garden and a trusty shovel.)

Wow.

And yet, when someone makes a joke about not minding seeing their ex girlfriend get face hugged, you clutch your f**king pearls and start banding around the word "misogyny" and that they should seek professional help.

Go on, now tell me you was just joking.

I, uh, I genuinely do think the post you quoted was made in hyperbolic jest.

At least that's how I read it.

Hyperbolic or not, its an odd post.

Oasis Nadrama

It's not only hyperbolic, it's a complete joke. Every kind of terminology has my blessing in the end. Some kinds I may consider somehow "wrong" (particularly the use of the term "xenomorph"), but that doesn't really affect me, for I am a descriptivist when it comes to matter of language, not a prescriptivist.
I was mainly working from Local Trouble's "But that upsets me", which I considered to be a joke as well, and in any case a little funny.

Also there is a difference between basic gallows humour towards abstract "people" and someone confessing to gorish/r-pe/torture revenge fantasies about their ex-girlfriend.

I dunno, I thought it was funny, but I also like that kind of silly absurdist humor.
