Poster is quality imo.
Hopefully the film is as well because so far his works haven't impressed me much.
Wish he went back to comedy.
Based on the poster, hoping for something with aliens/UFOs here. 8)
Maybe it is an afrofuturist flick like
Space Is the Place. 😉🎶

But more likely it is thriller / horror oriented. 👻👀

All staring up. Better be UFOs dammit!
I hate all the secrecy behind his movies, likewise for Tarantino and Nolan. You guys aren't making top secret super important stuff guys so get off of your clouds and act normal
But yeah I get it , it works otherwise I wouldn't be here.
Curiosity is killing me.

Jordan Peele: Human beings have an unpleasant way of treating things they don't understand. And today, they'll learn who are the real monsters here...in the Twilight Zone. So the people of a carnaval are thrown into hysterics by an anomalous aerial phenomenon. Fear and gossip about monsters coming out of the cloud turn people into uncivilized creatures.

In the end, the aliens were cute and even wanted to save the planet from climate change. But they were all tortured to death instead. :'(
It would be something like
District 9, only more fluffy.

Quote from: Jordan Peele"I love a rapt audience, whatever it is. I love an audience that's cringing or cowering or laughing. Roller coaters aren't fun alone. Laughing isn't fun alone. Being scared isn't fun alone. You need that energy and it heightens the ride." That's also what inspired the film's title: "I like the titles that are in tune with how the audiences are feeling and reflect on what they're thinking and feeling in the theater." He basically wants the audience to say "Nope!" to what they're experiencing. And be in for a healthy dose of spectacle. That's what Yeun's character even says in the clip shown to the assembled crowd: "Right here you are going to witness an absolute spectacle."

Nope is, through and through, an honest to God Summer Blockbuster experience. It is jam-packed with science-fiction concepts that tickle my interests in such specific ways, and the movie operates in a certain mode of filmmaking that we just don't really see anymore. I needed something like this, and Nope delivered.
I really can't wait for this!!!

Any good? I really liked Get Out and Us.
I saw it last night and I'm still buzzing about it today. It had a tone-setting moment that was far more horrific than I ever expected the film to get (in a somewhat similar way to Jaws and the Kitner boy). It really does feel like a classic cinema blockbuster. I loved it.
I really liked this movie. I thought this was just going to be a standard UFO film, to my surprise, it turned out to be a fairly original cosmic horror creature feature.

Yeah, Jean Jacket was a nice surprise. 8)
LOVED. LOVED. LOVED this movie! 10/10. Jordan Peele is such a mad talent.
Load of nonsense, just another flying squid. 2 hours of Kaluuya looking bored and a screetchy woman.
I've been thinking about this movie a lot since I saw it. It wasn't what I expected in the slightest, but I really f**king enjoyed it regardless. The horror and tension in this is just brilliant. But the subject takes a left-turn (though I did eventually anticipate it because of the focus on some of the seemingly random backstory) that took me a bit further consideration and reading to really settle into.
I love this concept that Jean Jacket was the inspiration for

Hmmm. That was a bit of a disappointment. There are some wonderful scenes in it, but it just didn't really grip me. Peele set the bar high with Get Out and this doesn't hold together as well. I hope he keeps going though, as one day he's going to make something truly brilliant.
I saw it the other day and was left thinking 'What?'
I mean, it's a decently shot and acted film, and everything worked out mostly in the end, but I was still left kinda not getting it. Was definitely not what I expected, I can say that.
