Why couldn't the 360/PS3 get better texture resolution/visual improvements?
I need to get back to PC gaming soon  ::)

Well hopefully they will apply those texture updates to future XBOX patches

Ill tell ya what, half the problem is the textures are low resolution, the other half is that lots of them are simply drawn like crap. I dont have an Xbox version to investigate but im willin to bet its the same thing for them. Some of them they didnt even bother to paint within the lines let alone optimize. Tons of textures have the wrong size specular maps attached to them, partially visible "zone" textures from the old lighting scheme. Its all taking the same processing power, its just MS paint level quality.

This game could get an overhaul simply by finding someone who knows how to use photoshop correctly. If Xbox doesnt get something graphic wise ill post up textures for people to laugh at.

The textures look awful on the 360. If they were refined and clear it would at least make the game easier to look at. The visuals are an eyesore on console. Bad to the point where it is very noticeable.

I'll check it out to see how the "improved" texture resolution looks.

Would be nice if they fixed the crazy sway-while-shooting nonsense; it's like a little girl is holding the gun or something. And the hit detection being completely off from where the crosshair is pointing...

Thats because GBX are still using the ancient "invisible laser on the hitmarker" detection and they just add some spread instead of using real projectiles for the bullets.

Don't get your hopes up - the patch for Xbox has fixed NOTHING. Certainly nothing noticeable at all.

Ridiculous

I hope the PC patch gets all the bells and whistles. Full dynamic lighting, high res textures, DX11 effects, anything possible to make it the best it can be.

I really hope this game gets some lighting and FX help. Blur effects and good bloom too... and color correction :D Then it would be like every other game made in the past 10 years!

Oh and I hope they put the film grain in first person mode. It actually does exist in the "edit loadout" screen so filmgrain isnt a myth. Aint holding my breath on any of it though.

The textures are so bad. It's almost sickening.
