I never saw King of the Monsters, but I thought Skull Island was leaps and bounds ahead of the '14 Godzilla, which somehow managed to be incredibly boring despite holding so much promise. Skull Island was, by comparison, a hell of a lot of fun.

Ju-On: The Curse 2

Not as good as the first. Not as scary. Kinda unintentionally funny in some places, and makes very little sense in others.

I like it well enough once the 40 minute recap is over.

Have you never seen it, Kradan?! It's a classic!

OK, I've watched it, Corporal. You're happy ? I bloody hope you are because that was the biggest pile of shit I've ever watc...

On a serious note, I've enjoyed it. Quite a bit actually. Nothing mind-blowing but enjoyable nonetheless. Unsurprisingly, Beetlejuice himself was the best part of the movie. Kinda wish he was more in it. Keaton gives great performance and seems to love playing the character

Very different kind of Burton movie, I might add. His trademarks are there but it's just ... different. Like he was having more fun making movies back then than he is now. Idk, really

Also, now I know where "Not bad" meme came from lol  :D

Sphere. Incredibly underrated. FYI Norman Reynolds (alien 3) did the sets.

My son is 6 so I showed him Aliens vs Predator since there's little to no blood. I'll forgive him but he really likes the Predator ha. Afterwards he said, " Dad, the aliens aren't super scary.." I can't wait until he gets a little older and show him the REAL Alien movies.

Also watched Men in Black with him, which he loved. Geez, I remember seeing that in theatre when I was a kid. The movie still holds up and it just goes to show that a movie doesn't need to rely heavily on CGI.

Alien vs Predator (2004) is perfect for introducing little kids to both franchises. In 20-30 years you all will be able to appreciate genius of Paul W/ S/ Anderson
