I would have prefered if they had keept some kind of dome on it. I get why they gave it eyes, but I think eyeless works way better. Looks better and is way less goofy.

I think everyone would have liked it to have a dome and be more detailed - the betrayal of that expectation makes it a more effective "abomination", it helps the audience hate and revile the thing that should never have been born.

I think many to most are hating and reviling it not for the reasons intended though. Perhaps if it was in a film that embraced those concepts better and filmed in a better way, maybe the Newborn as is would receive less criticism and loathing than it does. Maybe it would be more effective and less comical. Unfortunately, we'll never know. Ultimately it's sadly just a bad goofy creation to me.
