Just downloaded it on iTunes today, so it was my first time hearing a lot of the songs. Loved it!
Glad you liked it! Sad that the Rock nominations were completely removed from the grammys show...I wanted to see the foos win them all  ;D

Amazing album

^My friend bought it today when we went to birmingham. I was quite disappointed with it however. It was lacking in memorable songs, especially on disk 2.

not accessible, but as music and atmosphere goes i thought this was really cool. I prefer their previous release however, "Primary Colours".

Still their best.
I actually prefer El Camino due to the fact that it's so damn fun, but Brothers is probably their best

I never understood the point of stuff like Cannibal Corpse.  It seems so infantile and shock for the sake of shock.

But I just had a read of their wiki page, and they say it's just the musical equivalent of a horror film - which I can understand.

The wiki page pretty much has it straight. Although its not even the horror film equivalent. More like gore porn/snuff film equivalent.

The music is more important than the lyrics with CC, for sure. The songwriting on the new album is excellent

TFF - songs from big chair

great album, a classic 80s "pop" album, great playing and lyrics filled with irony.
