Well considering it's just an Aliens game i doubt this will be an fps as sega wouldnt want it to compete with Aliens:CM so id guess this is most likely another strategy game maybe extinction 2 without preds?

if its like dead space 2 i guess we will get a 3rd person shooter kinda like yeah dead space ( of courese XD ) and
resident evil operation raccoon city.
im not sure how well that will work in a alien game, hmm but lets wait an see for more information.
Or if they talk like uuum in scaryness... and the whole horror feeling to it then i cant see how it can fit with just alien...
Because dead space 2 is a pretty action packed game ..so it would make more sense to put it up with aliens

thats why i say ... why they use alien and not aliens Course alien wouldent fit for a dead space 2 as they compare it too. aliens would fit more for that with little horror and more action.

if it is alien based, i'm thinking it will be mostly horror with little or no action at all, probably lots of puzzles, which would be interesting, since most survival horror games have gone the action route recently
I wonder if we'll play as a human or an alien in this game. If we play as a human, it would be fun to have the same sort of scanario as in Alien, were you would be unarmed and try to survive against the Alien. could be pretty intense.

Very interesting. I liked the mechanics behind AvP Extinction.
I liked RTS stuff. I liked Extinction but it coulda been better.

Read the second news post. They were at the unveiling and they said no platform has been confirmed.

That said, these guys say Sega said it'll be coming to consoles. I'm waiting back on a response from Sega.

Ohhh you guys are in for a treat. Funny thing is, the two main forums I visit on the internet are avpgalaxy.net and twcenter.net. I AM A BIG TOTAL WAR FAN! They are amazing games, with many hundreds of amazing community mods. Expect this to be refreshing development if anything. I was just at twcenter before I came to check the AVP news actually. It's confusing when you start to see Creative Assembly on both websites...
Alien vs Human :D Sounds great just do it right! And if it a RTS the units, voices, story and AI need to be perfect then it will be a winner. :D and it better be for PC >:(
why is everyone assuming it will be total war based? it's much more likely it will be based on the Viking: Battle for Asgard game that they also made, which was published by Sega, and was also a R rated current gen console based game made by creative assembly, i'm pretty confident that it will use the same engine, and by the sounds of things said in articles (that it's peers will be Dead Space and RDR) it sounds liek it will be a TPS, Viking was a Thirsd Person hack'n'slash, adding shooting wouldn't be too difficult.
Great stuff, look forward to hearing more on this. ;D

cant say I've played that one, my issues with them extend from control methods, last one i attempted to play way c&c generals on the N64, I'm also not a fan of fps on consoles for the same reason, PC is where they should live, or at least with a keyboard and mouse.
Could it be a title for the Wii 2? If motion controls are still in (which of course they are) then it could really be it.
The word "SEGA" makes me worry, but since it's based on the first film for a change, im all down for a horror 3rd person adventure game. Hope it turns out well.
I'm probably going to keep an eye to see where this will lead to.

Just because it's made by a company that mostly do RTSs,, doesn't mean that it's an RTS.

that pretty much confirms that it's not an RTS, there is no such thing as a AAA RTS on console.
...yet.
It's not like they haven't tried, c&c and halo wars etc, but they'll never be able to compete with the big boys, RTSs just don't have the fan base big enough to make a game AAA.

Talos I hope its not gonna be another Aliens Colonial Marines. We need a good Aliens game. I hate the idea that Aliens needs to be paired up with Predator to sell a decent game. Yes the AvP Games were good and sold like chocolate covered weed. but we need a good stand alone Aliens game!
