Nope, all doors and lift sounds have the start/middle/end part in them. I guess that I'll only use the AVP 2000 lift/door middle sounds then.

However, I'm working on some soundpacks too:

- AVP 2000 Soundpack (almost all sounds replaced)

- AVP 2010 Soundpack (almost all sounds replaced)

- Movies Soundpack (extracted from the 4 old Aliens and 2 first Predator movies, and some other sounds from AVP and AVP Requiem)
*Also I changed all the music of the game with soundtracks from the movies

And I think that's all.

Oh I see. Many of the lift sounds are loop sounds. Meaning the sound is designed to be a continuous sound. You used a non-loop sound for the door so it sounds like it's repeating because it is.

You can either change the sound to one that is a continuous sound designed for looping, or edit the sound you have to loop without sounding like it comes to a start and end.

Not bad ! What happen to FINAL PRO MOD? or something you was working on?

You should join the discord lots of modders there and videos/skins etc.

My computer died, but I think I made a back-up of my mods haha I'll look for them.
It is/was a cool mod, but it's a lot of work to do.

I've replaced many of the lift and door sounds on my upcoming mod. Not all have beginning/middle/end.

Looks cool what you are doing though.

That's cool, maybe you or anyone could help me.

Here's a video to show you more about this issue  :-X

Hi there, my friends:
I'm working on a soundpack that replaces almost ALL sounds from AVP2 (except Dialogue) with AVP 1999 sounds, it's getting pretty cool.
Also I'm working on some HUD and Menu changes:

New background stars

New crosshair, weapon icons, some icons removed to resemble AVP 1999 Predator HUD.

New motion tracker, crosshair, numbers to resemble AVP 1999 Marine HUD.

NOW, HERE'S MY PROBLEM:

When I try to modify DOORS and LIFTS sounds, they don't work. It seems like AVP2 original sounds are composed different (like they have a begin, middle and end marked). So, when I use the new sounds, they repeat.

For example, if you open a door and it delays to open completely, the middle sound repeats:
https://vocaroo.com/i/s0fBJUbRUa8r

Imagine this is the door/lift sound file, it's composed like this:

BEGIN/MIDDLE/END

So, the middle part should repeat if the door gets stuck or if it's too big to open quickly:
BEGIN/MIDDLE/MIDDLE/MIDDLE/MIDDLE/MIDDLE/END

But when I use the new sounds, the whole sound file repeats:
BEGIN/MIDDLE/END/BEGIN/MIDDLE/END/BEGIN/MIDDLE/END

I wish you could help me.
