Question is when season 2 is supposed to start or if its like they say: year 2, quite a long wait then xD I fear its too little too late.

Season 2 sometime before year's end. Year 2 isn't confirmed as of now.

Please more Campaigns with each DLC, they should use the World War Z model.

WWZ had you buy each of the additional campaigns. Cold Iron have explicitly stated that no substantial gameplay elements (read classes, missions, etc) will require additional purchases, only cosmetics.

The first year of WWZ had free DLC (which at launch they said all DLC would be free), including campaigns, horde mode, classses, etc... It wasnt until the second year when they started to have paid DLC3 and 4 which they have continued year on year.

So lets hope that in 2022 the rest of FT's DLC will be free.

So looks like we shouldn't be ruling out future campaign content. From yesterday's Q&A.

#myquestion The format of Aliens: Fireteam Elite is setup in such a way that a vast amount of stories could be told with the game. (Colonial Marines cruising around the galaxy, stomping bugs (Probably mixed up with with other problems too.) The core gameplay loop is wonderful. The graphics, environmental craftsmanship and integration of the very murky Aliens lore are top notch. What are your long term plans for AFE?

A: Thanks for the kind words! Like I mentioned, all of Cold Iron is still working on the game and we've got a lot more stories to tell about the Endeavor and LV-895. I'd love to fully explain our entire future roadmap... but marketing would have my head. : )

#myquestion Are you able to talk about when we'll be seeing more campaign content or Horde mode maps? Thanks 🙂

A:  The roadmap gives a bit of a look into that - Season 2 and 4 will have new Game Modes, which if you enjoyed Horde Mode, you'll like these - with some twists on the strategies, length, and location. Season 2 is fast approaching!

Yay!  ;D

It's a bit contrary for me to be confident. He never says yes or no to more campaign. "we've got a lot more stories to tell about the Endeavor and LV-895" kind of makes me think more campaigns, but then the answer to you asking when we'll be seeing more campaign or more Horde maps, you're told "The roadmap gives a bit of a look into that - Season 2 and 4 will have new Game Modes, which if you enjoyed Horde Mode, you'll like these, with some twists on the strategies, length, and location."

I guess what I'm saying is "more stories to tell" could be found in the new Game Modes. And we know new features doesn't mean new maps or campaigns now.

I guess we'll see! :)

They did also specifically reference campaign missions in a different question. Nothing explicit, but enough to make me not so fretful after the roadmap.

#myquestion Are you planning on including the APC (armored vehicle from the movie) or the dropship on future missions? It would be awesome to see more events like in Mission 2-1.

A: I agree that was awesome! Those vehicle moments were great in the Aliens film, it's in my mind when thinking about future campaign missions.

Ah, yep, there we go. Let's hope at this stage they're doing more than thinking!  :)

I'd like to have mystery campaigns that involve investigating the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. One would be a reconnaissance campaign in which the mission would be done covertly. The player would discover a lot of hair-raising secrets. Another investigative campaign would be done more loudly.

I'd also like to have some exploration campaigns, some rescue campaigns, and some protecting or escorting VIP / scientist / civilian campaigns.

And I'd like to have more complex maps (but it doesn't have to be too complex). And I'd like to have AI teammates like in the old Rainbow Six games. You can assign where they can follow you or from where they can cover you or guard any important zones.

Id like a campaign where you save hostages or civis and they all pile up on board the Endeavor and then you can trade them like hockey cards with other players because they have stats and stuff. Then if you're ship is overloaded, you can jetison them into space!
