Was anyone else dissapointed with how Machiko's story continued?

like the title says, I'm curious if anybody else found what they did with her turning against the yautja annoying. For me, Dachande's dying breath was to mark her, and it just seems to invalidate prey all together. While I understand why she doesn't fit in and appreciate the culture and world building I just think it undermines Dachande's sacrifice and the Ryushi incident as a whole.

I felt both the sequels were pretty poor by comparison.

AvP War #0 is f*cking amazing but issues #1-4 were a massive let down. The whole series feels rushed and forced, trying to mash in a sequel to Berserker was a mistake. The art was okay but the story was just such a stinker and it felt very immature compared to the original series. Predator life on the ship felt very unimaginative as well.

AvP TWW was okay, the story wasn't all that bad and I don't think it undermined anything about the original series. I doubt Broken Tusk blooded her so she would go live with his species forever. I felt he marked her for all the alien kills she made on Ryushi and how she handled the situation, the mark allowed her to join the predators but it wasn't the reason he gave it to her IMO.Then there is the art... boy the art in TWW is terrible, it ranks up there with Sam Keiths work on Earth War. Even then I find it to be a better series than AvP War

War was good.  TWW was uneven.  Don't know so many people rag on the art though.

I wasn't collecting when this came out so I can't speak to the vitriol from the fanbase.

Three World War's artwork is a weird one. When it's in the action scenes, I genuinely think it suits it so damn well. It just has this frantic nature about it that I think just amps up the action. And I f**king love it then. But in scenes where it's trying to show off like the one posted...yeah, it looks like some sort of comic filter over a Kenner figure...

I don't see her returning to the human race as turning against the Yautja, however it did sting a bit to see Broken Tusk's mark removed.  Though I understand why they removed it, I would have preferred for her to keep his mark.  She did earn it.
