QuoteEven cold forge has the facehuggers insta-impregnate their host, I think one page mentions how as soon as it attached to the chimp it was already implanting the plagiarius praepoteans into them.

Why would it not start implanting straight away?

Because Marachuk and that other colonist was not implanted straight away, both died from having the huggers removed before implantation.

Personally I always thought huggers had to go through a process before they could start implanting a host, whether that is gathering the plagiarus praepotens or forming whatever is was previous assumed to implant the host with, hence why the only die after implantation because their body is drained from creating the embryo for lack of a better word.

Perhaps some facehuggers have `performance' issues as well.

Fair point.  The report was a much as the doctors at Hadley knew I guess.

QuoteThe Queen didn't hit his chest, and I would imagine that's deliberately.

Probably, but that's beside the point.  She still killed a host.

But not the chestburster. And it's not the same situation. If a person was already host, there's no need for a facehugger to try to impregnate them again. But that's why I brought up the whole proximity thing.

QuoteI don't see how it's equivalent to Lope - when its clearly not the same as Lope.  A hugger doesn't attach to her face like Lope so can't implant anything.

It's the equivalent because yes, we don't see it latch down, but her being infected earlier isn't really explicit. Where as we actually see her being attacked by the huggers, to the point where it's nearly down and echoes the most recent film in terms of timing.

I understand everything you've put across, but it doesn't make a more satisfactory sequence in the comic for me.

Is that something was actually determined with Wood/your consultancy? Or your figuring after the fact?

Ya the huggers attacking someone already implanted with a queen is definitely a discrepancy. That scene is one of my favorite moments from the series though. Mass huggers attacking is so unsettling!

No, I don't have a script for that issue and since I never saw it as a thing, I've never asked Tristan about it.  Might ask him next time I see him if I remember.  The actual thing with that issue was Tristan having to censor Hollis' breasts.

Sounds good! Thanks.  :)

Just got the hard cover, wow what a beautiful book. I just love qaulity of these fancy pantz editions.

Tristans art is even better in this format. It actually improves my initial feelings on the series.

I bloody loved that spread!

Voodoo Magic

Me too!

Some people slightly stagger their frames for an artistic look, so just pretend it was on purpose!   ;D
