Why is Jesus White?

When he was black/arab/jewish? (depending on who you listen to). Why does every single western intepretation have Jebus as a white guy? Is he different where you live? I know in many parts he is black as is Mary.

So why is he remembered and pop culture portray him as white skinned?

Simple.  Early artwork of Jesus was most likely done for the ROMAN Catholic church - so they painted him with European looks rather than Middle Eastern.  Unrealistic, but one shouldn't be surprised.
