The line that bugs me is Miller's alliteration.

"A Power Plant for this Pyramid firing up. Preparing!"

Gah! Everytime I hear that, I cycle it in my head for a day and a half. 

Makes you wonder how that would've sounded if they went with the character as an american like in the Novel and in some early stuff.

This one seemed a bit too much of a stretch to represent a wide variety of ethnicities.

I remember hearing on the commentary that the originally had Bremner doing an American accent, but changed it during shooting.

Possibly channelling the spirit of Golic...

A Scottish accent scarcely sounds good on anyone. Only a scarce few can wear it well. Billy Boyd and Ewan MacGregor.
