The PC system requirements have been released for the upcoming game Aliens: Dark Descent. Today, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Tindalos Interactive revealed a few more technical details about the squad-based shooter. As expected, Aliens: Dark Descent isn’t going to require a state of the art graphics card to run it.

You can view the minimum and recommend system requirements below. The publisher has also provided what framerate and graphical settings each option will produce. For the lowest setting playing at 30fps 1080p, you can get away with a GTX 960 while playing at 60fps 1080p in Epic, you’ll need a RTX 2060. The shooter will also take up 60GB of space on your hard drive.

Nice, even though I've upgraded my PC to some extent, I'm glad this won't make my machine into a toaster. That's quite the storage room it needs, interesting. Though maybe I should upgrade to using SSDs for my game storage, heard good things about that but not sure yet.

Necronomicon II

I wholeheartedly recommend an SSD.

Does it really improve performance to a noticable degree? (I know it depends on the game, but still) I know they can be quite cheap compared to other devices for the PC.

Necronomicon II

Yeah it does depend on specific optimisation but they definitely speed up boot times and loading. For open world games they'll eliminate stutter and texture pop-in since it doesn't have to waste cycles fetching assets like HDDs. You'll definitely appreciate it for non-gaming applications.

Thanks for the info! Since I'm running low on storage space, might be a time for such an upgrade.
