I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw that. Like these stormtroopers look great and they look like a force to be reckoned with.

In Legends, there was an Imperial Royal Guard who served under Thrawn as a stormtrooper.  I wonder if Enoch is a riff on that character.

Loved the episode. It really captured that sense of wonder that the best Star Wars has.

I actually agree with both this and the previous post about the slog, while entertaining and completely Star Warsy ( love the myth and the setting etc), it does appear now that the point of this show is to set something else up. Which is kinda good, but kinda not 

Hopefully whatever that "Thing" is, hits home. If thats a season 2 or a movie etc.

At episode 6 its now starting to feel like a reallllllly long introduction to settings and characters. I dig it, but it can pick up now hopefully.

If the series was 12 episodes I probably would not have that opinion, but with 8? Aint no time left to wrap it up. If somehow they do wrap it up, it'll be completely wasted. Rock and a hard place!

I agree with the Star Warsy elements. All that's fine.. but after like two episodes that were pretty intense and fairly well done (minus the whales), we are past that halfway point, so things should be picking up a bit more imo. But this episode... it does kind of feel like they're switching directions a bit.

I also secretly want to explore the new galaxy a bit more.

At the same time... I'm like.. do we know for sure this is a new galaxy?

I had no clue he was ever actually attached to do one, with a script written by Goyer and a lot of concept artwork for it produced internally at Lucasfilm.

EDIT: I dug up this quote from a few years ago, when he seemed to be talking about the film as a sort of pie-in-the-sky idea that he had merely talked about with Lucasfilm (though I guess in all likelihood, he was probably already attached or close to being attached by then and we just didn't know it yet):

"I would do the sort of Godfather saga that Jabba the Hutt had to go through to gain control," he said at the time. "One, because it's the character that looks the most like me, and I like him. I love the idea of a Hutt type of mafia, a very complex coup. I just love the character."
