I've never played the original Extinction, but it looks like this remake will be pretty fun on PC. 8)
This may come as a surprise but before AvP Extinction, I never played nor knew about RTS games. AvP Extinction was my first introduction to RTS. At first it was a strange game for me because I was only 7 at the game I got it for the Xbox. However I soon came to love it and now I can only fantasize about having a new RTS AvP game to PC. I believe the only major flaw Extinction had in the past was that it never had a PC port or at least skirmish mode. Otherwise I think we be having a lively community for the PC.
If this fan project makes any promising progress, by all means I will support it as long we can get a new AvP RTS game in any way!

Same! It was my first RTS game along side Age of Mythology.
I think I was a bit older, maybe 10 or 12.
I used to think that maybe the game was rushed or released early in 2003 since the movie came out in 2004.
A skirmish mode would have been so perfect.

I am assuming he is using Unreal 4 engine, as that too can be used for top down games (like the controversial "HATRED" title). The grey and white grid was the giveaway.
EDIT- I think he's using blender as I didn't realise that is also a gaming engine, as well as custom skin rendering programme. That said blender can also be acrossed multiple gaming level design platforms.

Does anybody know where to get in touch with anyone who can do concept drawing on pc and people who can do cc+ and people that know how to build 3d models in the AVP community? ive started to try and make the game myself but id like some help with it to be honest because its really hard lol

i did find a site but youll need to pay like £75 for each model like the marine with the grenade laucher and the Atom which generates the money for the marines
I would still continue it but i cant find anyone that will help or anything like that
I will accept donatilns tho if people want to but it depends how much tbh
i already made the level and stuff and hallways ect and foilage but its just the UI and other stuff that. would of been lovely for someone to help me do it :/
i would also except multiplayer with it but i dont know because nobody is helping me lol
i had a couple of models of a facehugger and a couple of halls but i deleted the folder whee all my stuff was becuase of how much everything was going to be
Even tho i deleted everything, im still going to go through with this so yeah its still going on
from boxing day till a couple days ago its been very stressful, nothing to do with this project :)

Hey guys, just giving an update on the AVPE remake. weve nearly finished the basic version of the marine. so a beta version of the game will be out sometime in may so keep your eyes pealled for a .rar link for the game. it might be quite a big file aswell :)

If I recall well, devs had a perfectly functional PC version at their office, and some folks were invited to go and play it by then.
Has this project being cancelled or something?, I also wonder whether he will be able to fix the extremely serious pathing issues the game had.
It is no longer being worked on in any capacity.
