Title: AVP DVD vs. Unrated AVP DVD (R1)
Post by: OneUglyMother on Apr 22, 2007, 07:09:46 AM
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I was just wondering what the additional 8-10 min. of footage on the unrated DVD was about. Are there any important plot points covered, like growth hormones or anything? Or is it just a bunch of corny lines and cartoon blood?

Thanks for the link. So the only plot point is that they discover the preds are teenagers?

there is a little diference, the dvd cover says: MORE VIOLENCE! (just CGI sooo fake blood), MORE ACTION! (really? were? i just see the same stupid action), MORE INTENSE BATTLES! (there are no more battles than you saw in the other editions...)
i was so upset with this lines...you can´t trust fox

I was personally more happy with the unrated cut...
The opening, (which was also on the first DVD), added a lot to the beginning.  I thought it needed that.
And the gore was amusing to me...  I had a lot more fun with the unrated cut...
Still not the greatest movie on Earth but I didn find it to be an improvement.

Its stupid. I have said this before and i will say it again.

They said more intense battles. Here is what i have to say to that.......

MORE INTENSE BATTLES MY F**KING A**

All they did was add a little blood and that was it.

but it was still better than the theatrical version.

R2 (Portugal)

I have 2 versions of the movie. The first one that i bought was the normal version, movie only. Last December i bought the unrated 'n' extended version. Much better than the theatrical version with those few extra minutes. When i was viewing the extras i saw a few scenes that were not in the final cut of the movie, not even in the cut scenes. And a few others that no one knows where they are. (Grid make it to the surface, Predator's "stick" with alien's tail)

so many people want avp to be a really good movie but they wont accept that the movie was a disappointment!
