Alien: Special Edition was released in North America on October 8, 1992. It was a 3-Disc set of the Theatrical version along with some bonus features. The bonus features were presented in a slideshow format and consisted of a lot of text documentation but there were photos and video clips too. Some of the extras from this set were found later on the Alien Legacy but it wasn’t until the Alien Quadrilogy, that the rest of the features were ported over.

In North America, Alien 35th Anniversary was released on Blu-Ray on October 7, 2014. This was a repackaging of the previous Blu-Ray, but did include 8 art cards and the Alien Illustrated Story mini-comic.
