Another Marvel Predator comic has been announced, due to kick off with Issue #1 in February of 2026. Predator: Bloodshed is written by Jordan Morris and features art from Roland Boschi. You might recognize Jordan Morris as one of the writers who worked on Issue #4 of Predator: Black, White, & Blood. This will be his second foray into Marvel’s Predator releases.
This new 5-issue comic features a Predator stepping into a bit of a different arena, that of a mixed martial arts fighting ring.
Here’s the press release:
THE GALAXY’S GREATEST HUNTER PREYS UPON THE WORLD’S GREATEST FIGHTERS IN PREDATOR: BLOODSHED!
PREDATOR: BLOODSHED, a five-issue limited series by Jordan Morris and Roland Boschi, arrives in February.
New York, NY— November 13, 2025 — This February, Marvel Comics continues to deliver thrilling tales set in the Predator universe with PREDATOR: BLOODSHED, a five-issue limited series written by Jordan Morris, who made his Marvel debut earlier this year in Predator: Black, White & Blood, and drawn by acclaimed artist Roland Boschi, known for his current work on Rogue Storm. Taking place in the world of underground fighting, the new chapter introduces a group of deadly fighters who must put their rivalries aside and band together when a Yautja enters the ring! With the recent release of the highly-anticipated Predator: Badlands film, the series is perfect for longtime fans and newcomers looking to explore more action-packed Predator storytelling!
In the near future, Earth’s fiercest fighters have gathered for an underground martial arts tournament organized by a shadowy organization. But all hell breaks loose when an unexpected combatant enters the ring: an alien PREDATOR! Now the champions are battling not just for the grand prize, but for their very lives! Can a disparate group of competitors band together in time to survive the extraterrestrial hunter? Choose your fighter, place your bets and brace yourselves for a bloody tournament unlike any other!
“Getting to be part of Predator: Black White and Blood was such an honor,” Morris shared. “The Yaujta is one of the coolest characters in pop culture history and I can’t believe the good folks at Marvel are letting us tell another longer, crazier, bloodier story in this awesome universe!”
“As a lifelong fan of the Predator franchise, I know that the Yaujta love testing themselves with new challenges,” he explained. “I figured an underground martial arts tournament where Earth’s strongest fighters gather under one roof to wail on each other would be an ideal challenge for the galaxy’s greatest hunter. I grew up on fighting video games and martial arts movies, so I am of the opinion that an underground fighting tournament is the coolest setting there is. I am so excited for folks to see the Yaujta absolutely wreck shop!”
“I’ve been a fan of Predator since the original film,” Boschi said. “The iconic threat in a hostile nature, the hunters becoming the hunted, overwhelmed by gruesome attacks… And the explosions! Now blend it with a rough MMA tournament, I know it’s gonna be a thrill!”
“I’m such a fan of Roland Boschi and can’t wait for folks to see his take on the Yaujta,” Morris added. “His fight scenes always go HARD so readers are in for some totally gorgeous carnage!

Yes! I had to have AI research to confirm and I am hopeful that this comic will be based on the short story (Gameworld) in the If it Blleeds anthology. If it Blleeds was a great anthology and Gameworld was one of my favorite stories in that anthology.

Yes, you appear to be correct. The plot of the Marvel comic is strongly believed to be adapted from, or heavily inspired by, a short story in a recent Predator anthology book.
The comic, Predator: Bloodshed (where a Predator enters an underground mixed martial arts tournament), has a premise that is nearly identical to a specific short story from the anthology book:
* Anthology Book: Predator: If It Bleeds (published in 2017 by Titan Books).
* Short Story: "Gameworld," written by Jonathan Maberry.
The story "Gameworld" features a Predator hunting prey in a high-tech, underground fighting ring organized by a trillionaire who stages fights between humans, animals, and genetically modified creatures. This premise directly mirrors the announced plot for Predator: Bloodshed, which is described as taking place in "an underground martial arts tournament" where "an unexpected combatant enters the ring: an alien PREDATOR!"
I'm fairly sure the recent material has still managed to get away with this. I've vaguely recollections of some of the shorts in the anthologies doing this.
I wonder if, with Badlands out now, the Predator EU material now has full access to elements like Weyland-Yutani and synthetics?
Well, I'm all for this, bring it on!
I'm intrigued! Also, glad to see Predator back in its own standalone titles!
They're finally making good on the "Rocky vs an alien" concept.
