The countdown on Dek’s wrist gauntlet continues to tick away towards the release of Predator: Badlands! And thanks to a post on Reddit by u/RSanti2001, we now know there’s a new Predator: Badlands poster – possibly the “final” theatrical poster – out there in the wild!

The new poster also depicts the big fight scene between Dek and the super-powerloader, as well a clearer look at what we presume to be Dek’s target – the Kalisk – and our first glimpse at Elle Fanning’s second character in the film, Tessa. Let me make this absolutely clear. No-one is ever banned for having disagreements on the films. No-one is banned for their opinions on the films - whether they love something or hate it. People are removed from this community when they start throwing around slurs, when they start showing racism, sexism, transphobia, etc. They are also removed when they express their opinions on the films in rude or insulting ways, or generally behave like jerks.
I shouldn't need to keep saying this to a bunch of adults. Don't be jerks. Read the rooms. And that absolutely works both ways. Sick of seeing someone compare the film to Star Wars? Don't respond if you can't have that disagreement without being rude yourself.

I'd say ticket sales will go up then too. We are a month out at this point. We'll probably get the rating real soon too.
I can see why people maybe not happy and this movie does have different vibe compare to the Original, but I am sure Badlands going to be better then AvPR and The Predator (or I could be wrong). Dan is much better director then Strause brothers, P W.S. Anderson and Nimrod Antal (in my opinion), so I am thinking Franchise is going in a little bit better direction then it was for the last 35 years.

See, you would have a point if this wasn't your millionth post about Badlands being a f**king Star Wars movie.
You've taken a subject that could be interesting and you have made it unbearable to the point that people are tired of you yapping about Star Wars, so if you want to talk about Star Wars, go on that thread because people are tired here.
Mike, but look at my post about things I find similar to Star Wars, see the reaction it got, how I worded it, and see who pick up a fight....I mean, if someone didn't like it they could have ignored it...right?
In this forum when someone writes something I agree with I hit the "like" button, even those that got triggered by my post just now get a like from me if they write something I agree with, and they know it. Hell, if you go check the Alien Earth posts (where they are extremely picky and I don't blame them) you'll see I agree with many of their comments.
If they write something I don't like, I just ignore it, I don't go like a little resentful runt to yell at them, but seems that people here are not mature enough to live in a world where everything is not tailor made for them.

Yeah, you're right. I may be misdefining it as a plasmacaster, I was automatically assuming that it was as I very naturally associate the targeting lasers to the caster.
I know we fans can get passionate about what we like or dislike. But let's try not to let that go overboard, I can't possibly see a positive outcome out of a discussion like this.
We're all allowed to like os dislike something. In the end of course I hope we all like the movie, those of us that are looking forward to it, but I also hope it surprises those that are not. But even if it doesn't, at the end of the day it's just a movie and not worth loosing our cool over it.
I know you're a predator fan, so why do you keep insisting that it's a plasmacaster, when we only see the targeting device lasers. If it's connected to a plasmacaster, then fine but so far we have no proof that it is and Dan as shown that the targeting device can be paired to different weapons.

Many of the members here actively disliked AE and continue to voice their opinion, same with Romulus. People like or dislike these entries usually without any issue. Its okay to not like something, its not exceptable to get angry because your entertainment media isn't up to you're expectations, touch grass.
This forum excepts views on entertainment just fine. It doesn't except trolling, racism, bigotry, or misogyny. It's an Island on a sea of absolute garbage that is the internet. If you don't like it, anyone is free to move on to one of the many AvP reddits and social media pits.
I personally did not read belittlement whatsoever. I read frustration and aggravation, something for me that is relatable when I see a Mech with a Predator plasmacaster attached to it featured on a marketing poster for a "Predator" film.
Also, some quick life advise, tailoring his opinions in order for you to feel comfortable or not triggered is not real life. As a reminder, In life people aren't always going to agree with you or word things in a way that you agree with - it's best to just accept that rather than attack a fellow member.
He's voicing his opinion in a very specific way designed to belittle those who don't agree with him. Living in a society actually means you're expected to be mature and to tailor your demeanor to be at least respectful toward others, he does not need to imply we are simpletons just because he doesn't like what he's seing.
I don't care about his opinion, lots of people voice negative opinions about movies and TV shows. Some are just mature about it, others feel the need to mock those who don't agree with them. I won't stand for that. And don't over do it with the "jump to his throat stuff" please. It's ridiculous.
Not what I said at all. You have every right in the world not to like Alien Earth — I don't like it either — but you won't catch me on a board explaining to people that I'm just "more picky" or "it's for the average Joe, not me," like I've achieved some kind of superior taste.
I don't like Alien Earth at all, but when I speak I tend to avoid making it seems like you need to be a little bit dense to enjoy something, my tastes aren't universal

Dek's look is not even comparable to the Alien: Earth design, say what you want about Steve, but it's not a good xenomorph design, while Dek is a fine looking predator.

Well you are just stirring the pot, the guy is just voicing his opinion and shouldn't have to carefully tailor it in order to make his point, just like you don't need to jump down his throat for voicing a contrary perspective to yours, however he decides to phrase it.
His being "picky" is specific to his taste and preference, nothing more. You should do a better job to respect that and respect contrary opinions if you expect the same in return.
Sorry to stir the pot, but describing yourself as "picky" is another way of framing yourself as superior in taste to the "average moviegoer".
You state the pred designs are "shitty" as if it's an undeniable truth, framing yourself in the minority brave enough to be picky about it, while the others are just willing to go with it.
Speaking in this way is proof in itself that you're not willing to acknowledge other people's taste as being equal to yours.
It's not a very nice thing to read on a board where a lot of people are enjoying the movie promotion so far, we all need to keep in mind that the way we experience the world — and art even more so — is inherently flawed and subjective.
