Predator: Killer of Killers DLC Coming to Predator: Hunting Grounds!

Predator: Killer of Killers has been released just today! Riding on the excitement, Illfonic shared to social media that two of the Predators from the film will be coming to Predator: Hunting Grounds as DLC!

The Yautja from the Viking and Feudal Japan eras will be playable. Check out the short teaser video below!

The concept art for the Predators here is by Ivan Dedov, long time concept artist for the game. The two of them seem to be portrayed in a less stylized design than their film appearances, with the Viking era Predator looking particularly less oversized than we see him in the movie. We’ll keep our eyes out for further info on when this DLC will be available.

After seeing KoK, PHG is way closer to an accurate Predator media. Which is a testament to IllFonic as far as I'm concerned.

The problem for me is if KoK is a window into what's to come for Predator then unfortunately for fans like me it's a whole new Predator franchise to come.

I'd like to see them release a weapon or two for the fireteam as part of this pack, just to mix things up a bit. A short Japanese blade wouldn't be that hard to implement as a knife variant, surely.

I sense a new collection of photos from our very own @RidgeTop. Very exciting! I look forward to how true the physicality and movement of these predators will be in PHG.

@Within the Stars, the player base for PHG has grown since both "PREY" and "KOK." For these new players arriving in the game, I think this is an awesome opportunity. Does PHG have issues? Absolutely...Yet some of us still enjoy it, and let's embrace that new player/predator fan base.

I both think they look great and agree with this. Hunting Grounds currently perhaps takes up the space of a Predator title I might actually want to play.
Let DBD take the asym spot and let a proper single player game take the Predator game spot

Dbd is so boring and toxic, PHG had potential to become the best asym but the devs wasted it.

Totally, but I don't see the continued support of this game having any influence on whether or not those alternative titles begin development. Illfonic has made AA asymmetric multiplayer games their niche, so it would most likely be another studio.

Sure, but many of us on phg are just burned out of it but since we dont have any other active multiplayer of the franchise, we just keep playing it, another game would be good to a lot of players that want to move on. It will probably affect PHG playerbase and the sales of future dlcs.

The existence and support of Hunting Grounds doesn't stop another game from being made. And it's death wouldn't guarantee another either. Im not playing the game as much now-a-days because exactly what I feared happening did - lack of new maps - but I'd never wish failure on it for there's still folk who d9 enjoy it.

Why? Some of us still enjoy it, and nobody is forcing you to play.

On a more positive note, anyone care to speculate on what the new weapon(s) or variant(s) might be for these two?

The most likely to me for the Viking would be the fist thing he uses. It'd probably replace the wrist blades since it's on the appropriate arm, but when equipped with it the weapon can fire like in the movie. I half expect he'd be equipped with it by default like City Hunter and the wrist launcher.

The samurai (or is it ninja?) feels likely to have that grenade weapon if they don't do the whip. I could also see another spear variant and given how it opens could be a variant for the trident.  The grenade weapon feels more likely given they'd have the animation for it already and it'd be a change to lobbing a grenade rather than fiery dart they can currently do.

Correction: same proportions seen in killer of killers* meaning leave the animated body proportions in the animated movies
