While we still don’t have a solid release date yet for Alien: Earth, the vague Summer release period continues to loom. The details for the second “Wreckage” interactive experience have just been announced, and a recent update to Alien: Earth’s listing on Disney+ has seen an update with a new expanded synopsis.
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in the sci-fi horror series “Alien: Earth.” As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
Hulu does not appear to have been updated with the new synopsis. This search crew is the Prodigy Tactical Response unit we first mentioned a couple of years back when we shared some exclusive concept art from Alien: Earth.

It's interesting that pretty much all of the press for this show seems to be focused entirely on the ship crashing/Alien(s) getting loose elements, and entitely neglects to mention the transhumamist elements surrounding Wendy and her peers that we know are going to be at the heart of the show.
My guess is that that stuff is much harder to market, and they're going to stick to showing off what's more familiar up front and let Wendy et al. develop naturally as a surprise for the audience.
Man, if other shows based on pre-existing IPs are anything to go by, this fandom is going to eat itself alive "discussing" elements that perhaps don't totally mesh or line up (yet) with the baggage we are coming into the show with week-to-week, without us yet having proper context/information that will eventually be doled out in later episodes, huh?
Best I can do for ya:
What the predator thing with the face that's kicked up a stink?
No! The other one , the one that's set before Alien , with Aliens in it on earth
Wait what?
Just start it with Mysterious, it'll be fine , put Ragtag in there, it'll make it sound deep
Ok boss
Don't get my hopes up.
Mustelid involvement confirmed.
