20th Century Studios has just announced that the long-rumoured Predator animated film will be arriving on Hulu/Disney Plus on June 6th! The title is Predator: Killer of Killers (as previously rumoured) and was directed by Prey’s Dan Trachtenberg, alongside animation studios The Third Floor’s co-director Josh Wassung and was co-written with Micho Robert Rutare.
The announcement comes with a 2 minute long trailer, giving us a look at the eras that will be featured in the anthology, as well as a variety of different Predator designs! As Alien vs. Predator Galaxy previously reported, we’ll be seeing the Predator do battle against samurai, the Vikings and taking to the skies of World War 2 in ariel combat! Check out the trailer below.
Alongside the trailer, we also have the first poster for Predator: Killer of Killers and a synopsis and cast list (as posted exclusively by Bloody Disgusting) which sees Predators veteran Louis Ozawa return alongside Aliens alumni Michael Biehn!
Predator: Killer of Killers is a three-part animated anthology that showcases Yautja warriors hunting human prey across global history. It’ll premiere as a Hulu exclusive on June 6th, 2025. The voice cast includes Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa, Rick Gonzalez, and Michael Biehn.
Here’s the official synopsis with all the glorious details:
“Predator: Killer of Killers, an original animated action-adventure film set in the Predator universe, will premiere June 6th, 2025, exclusively on Hulu. The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent – the ultimate killer of killers.”
According to Bloody Disgusting’s exclusive reveal, The Third Floor was responsible for the animation of Predator: Killer of Killers and was directly inspired by the animation style of Arcane.
“Predator: Killer of Killers marks The Third Floor’s first full-length feature, but they’re no rookies. As Trachtenberg notes, Wassung and his team have handled VFX for countless properties you’ve loved across Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, The Boys, Netflix Originals—the list continues. Many companies contributed to the film, but Wassung’s co-director tag speaks to Trachtenberg’s enthusiasm about working together, laying the groundwork for visual compositions that do not lack survivalist ferocity or intensity despite biased preconceptions about cartoons.”
Discussing why these particular eras were chosen, Dan Trachtenberg went into detail about the character arcs and the appeal of these eras.
“Most characters are dealing with generational [issues], trying to break a cycle. All the chapters are different genre-wise.” The frosty, fog-thick battlegrounds of 841 AD have a chill to them as this badass Viking death-dealer avenges her lineage while massacring her foes, yet the trailer footage for the American pilot segment looks much brighter and more adventure-centric. But, thematically, all segments are driven by a simple question: “Who would be a unique challenge for the Predator?” Time periods were chosen based on their trademark fighting capabilities and “cool” factor, from Japanese samurai choreography to WW2 airborne dogfights. The door is wide open to so many alternate possibilities, but Trachtenberg confirms Predator: Killer of Killers was created to stand alone, always as an anthology feature (versus, say, television episodes).
Head on over to Bloody Disgusting to check out their account of the footage they saw, as well as further comments from Dan Trachtenberg at a special preview event. Thanks to ace3g and BlackNoir for the links.

I'd be ok with them returning.... in an actual good story (which this looks like).
I think the unmasked Predator has a very casual look and is probably not quite equipped for hunting.
The Predator in the Samurai chapter probably just lost his upper mandibles in some earlier battle.
Otherwise, I'm looking forward to this.

(I actually quite like the [masked] look of the Predators Predators overall but their heads, especially Mr. Black's, needed to be scaled down a good 20% or so)
Mother narrating it all over again.
Absolutely valid point. But I think people should be more conscious of actually talking with more consideration of the fact that it's their interpretation, and stop framing around their opinion = fact. It makes it harder to have actual decent conversations discussing those differences in opinion.
Anyone else see it?
Indeed.
This shot gives me the impression that there might be some kind of last stand on the ground... unless perhaps this is from earlier in the short, with this guy firing at the ship?

Feral might have less armor but The Predator featured both an armored up Fugitive and the Assassin who didn't need the armor on account of the exoskeleton. And before that the Supers and Captured Predators all featured the same levels of armor.
Yeah that's what I meant
Some of that one will be on the ground. We see the pilot receiving his draft notice and a car driving next to a field of crops. But the real question is if any of the Predator action will happen on the ground.
Their supposed to be technologically armored up space beasts yet the last three movies have them running around in underwear. Also need to FINALLY see some female warriors already.
Hopefully it'll be great, but it's feeling more like the comic books than the rest of the movies right now.
as far as these preds fitting into myths and stories...
the viking one is implied by the older lady to have been visiting for years - (she only talks bout the monster to the kid because he's "old enough now"..) (probably sticking to terrain for ages like jungle hunter)
viking - grendel style story? will probably fit an epic poem?
samurai - could fit the local oni role.
WW2 - looks like they'll be inspired by Foo Fighter sightings???
Haha that is awesome, you hit the nail on the head. Bravo.
Absolutely hideous.
Not sure if anyone pointed out that he has a katana stuck through his wrist computer.
Gotta have some standa– wait a minute...
Just like The Predator.
I think if someone doesn't like that style of animation, it is indeed bad, to them at least.
You're absolutely correct (obviously!) but sadly we're dealing with the usual, inescapable, way too prominent "I don't like it therefore it's bad" way of thinking.
exactly. The animation may look good to some but to me that style looks bad.
I don't know anything about tailoring but like I said, I would of preferred a more old school art style, maybe something a bit more hand drawn, something darker and grittier that matches the tone of Predator.
I know, impossible.
I know, impossible.
haha I hear you and I suppose animation like art is in the eye of the beholder. Being that I'm not necessarily a big animation film guy per se and growing up in the 90's I would of preferred a more old school art style, maybe something a bit more hand drawn, something darker and grittier that matches the tone of at least how I see Predator. Not this vibrant cartoony and laggy video game style artform. But that's just me. Something like the Spawn animated film or Batman Mask of Phantasm or some of the animes from the past like The Perfect Blue, which specifically I think would of went perfect for Predator.
I mean as a diehard Predator fan I have zero excitement for this animation unfortunately as it literally to me does not feel like its related to Predator at all.
Absolutely agreed with this.
I wouldn't be excited for half of that on live action.
