Though the recent teaser trailer didn’t show much for the upcoming Alien: Earth FX series, it seems that was indeed a notice that the show is about to make a big marketing impact come March.
Thanks to a press release just sent to us, we have some details about an Alien: Earth interactive experience set to take place at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival in Austin, Texas.
At one of the festival venues will be a themed Alien: Earth ‘Wreckage Site’ experience where visitors will see new details on the series, enjoy photo ops, and have exclusive merch available.
Alien vs. Predator Galaxy will be at the ‘crash site’ in Austin to report our findings during SXSW! The themed experience is open to both SXSW badge holders and the public (hey wasn’t I just asking for that in my Survios visit reporting?)

FX WELCOMES FANS INTO THE WORLD OF ALIEN: EARTH WITH IMMERSIVE CAMPAIGN LAUNCHING AT SXSW
On March 7-8, Fearless SXSW Attendees Can Explore an Interactive Wreckage Site for a First Look at the Series
February 24, 2025, Los Angeles, CA – FX’s highly anticipated series Alien: Earth is expected to make impact at SXSW, launching a series of three immersive experiences that will pop up in the months leading up to the Summer 2025 premiere. On March 7-8, fans can step into a mysterious wreckage site in the heart of Austin to unearth new details from the series, exclusive merch and photo opportunities.
From the moment fans step inside, they will find interactive elements and pulse-pounding thrills that bring the series to life. Visitors will be scanned for alien parasites before receiving credentials and instructions, embarking them on an exploratory mission through the ship wreckage where they will have the chance to get up close and personal with alien specimens. But beware—not all creatures survived the crash intact, a containment breach has occurred and hidden dangers lurk within.
FX’s Alien: Earth 360 marketing campaign will continue to roll out in the coming months, including social video teasers, high impact OOH, multi-market stunts, and two more immersive experiences. The Westin Downtown Austin, which overlooks the SXSW immersive experience, will be wrapped with FX’s Alien: Earth key art for the duration of the festival.

The press release for the event included new story details. Most notably, not only are we getting a new mega corporation with Prodigy, but three others: Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. These companies as well as Weyland-Yutani will compete for dominance on the global stage:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.
Alien: Earth is set in 2120 when five corporations – Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold – wield the power of nations, and proprietary advancements in technology provide the promise of a new tomorrow.
Lead by Chandler, the series showcases an expansive international cast which includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.
Some fans may be left scratching their heads as to how the global power of these companies will be squared with existing geo-political lore. We’ll have to see if elements like the United Americas or Three World Empire will be included or disregarded.
