Rostyslav Zagornov Shares New Alien Romulus Concept Art

The fun post-release exploration of all the concept art for Alien Romulus continues, as artist Rostyslav Zagornov has uploaded their contributions to the latest entry in the Alien pantheon to their Instagram.

Their first few galleries are explorations of the creatures from Romulus, the facehugger and the film’s major addition to the Alien bestiary, the Offspring.

Some years ago I had a great chance to contribute to the early stages of Alien: Romulus. Back then together with the Framestore team I used to work on early concept explorations and idea research, touching general facehugger shapes, bioprinting lab equipment and some mor.

The next uploads are an exploration of the genetically reconstructed and 3d printed facehuggers and their containment unit. These show a concept that I don’t believe has been talked about much, that an early intent was that they’d be contained in an amber egg-like substance, emulating a more obvious connection to the Ovomorph.
