Survios Confirms Alien: Rogue Incursion Part 2

When the achievement list for Alien: Rogue Incursion first dropped, it included the first hints that Decembers release was only a Part 1. Those who quickly finished Alien: Rogue Incursion soon found that a Part 2 was very much on the way, with the game concluding on a cliff-hanger.

This has caused a bit of a stir, causing Survios to issue a statement officially announcing Part 2, as well as apologising for the lack of any previous mention of Alien: Rogue Incursion being split into Parts.

To our valued community,

We have recently received a lot of feedback about the inclusion of “Part One” in Alien: Rogue Incursion’s opening moments, within the achievement/trophy list, and store pages.

Never did we intend to mislead or cause confusion about what this game is, and we now understand how the addition of “Part One” could be interpreted.

Part One is a standalone adventure which ends with a cliffhanger, and we wanted fans to know that there would be more on the horizon, so we decided to confirm Part Two alongside the launch. The entire team at Survios are fans of the Alien universe, and cannot wait to tell more stories about Zula, Davis, and others.

While we have nothing to announce about Part Two, beyond that it is actively in development, we promise to share more exciting updates at a later date.

We appreciate the excitement and passion you have shown towards Alien: Rogue Incursion, and hope that you enjoy exploring Purdan and Castor’s Cradle as much as we enjoyed creating it.

I finished this yesterday morning. There's a significant "what's happening here?!" cliff-hanger, and there are quite a few threads still left hanging, but the game concludes the narrative that ends up becoming the main one of Part 1 in a satisfying way.

It would be bad if the game was only 4 hours long but Part 1 is a good 8-10 hour game, so don't have a big problem with this, and it means I get to look forward to more Aliens in VR in the future, which isn't a bad thing.

not ONCE in any trailer, any artical or interview they did when the game was annouced they said the game would be in parts.

''Never did we intend to mislead or cause confusion''

Charging £30 for PART ONE is just a slap in the face to everyone who pre-ordered and bought on release to find the game is a PART ONE. Even on store fronts it's title still showing as Alien: Rogue Incursion, with no mention saying the game is in parts when it was first up on store. Yes it's edited in the discription now but this was a total mislead and a big slap in the face to the customers.

Reminds me of Jurassic World Aftermath, of which I never played part 2 because it felt like a cash grab releasing only half a game. I suspect I wont get this one until its got part 2 attached and on discount.
