Gladiator Predator DLC Coming to Predator: Hunting Grounds

After the asymmetrical multiplayer game Predator: Hunting Grounds relaunched on PS5 & Xbox Series consoles with Prey’s ‘Feral’ Predator, we’ve been expecting we’d get another new Predator DLC before year’s end. Thanks to a recent post from developer Illfonic, we now know which hunter will be joining the hunting grounds, the Gladiator Predator!

Conveniently timed around the release of director Ridley Scott’s new sequel, Gladiator II, this Yautja is another of Illfonic’s line of Preds with looks inspired from ancient human cultures. 

Previously we’ve had original Predators for the game such as ‘Viking‘, ‘Pirate‘, ‘Samurai’, ‘Cleopatra‘, and more.

This reveal was following a couple of earlier teases of the DLC, showing off detail on the top of the helmet and the Predator’s footwear.

A new challenger approaches the jungle and is ready to claim its prize… your skull!

Legend says this fighter takes no prisoners in the hunting grounds.

These teaser images were notable as they illustrate Illfonic doing things a bit differently since becoming the game’s new publisher. When it was previously under PlayStation we’d never see teaser images in advance like this.

We still don’t have a release date for this new DLC, but we imagine it might be close to the new PS5 physical release for the game coming next Friday on December 6th. You can see the packaging below.

For those of you who missed the original 1987 Jungle Hunter Predator, which was a pre-order bonus for the game back in 2020, now’s your chance to acquire him as he comes with this new disc version. You can pre-order the physical version on Amazon.
