Yesterday, 20th Century Studios President of Production Steve Asbell dropped the bombshell news that there was an additional Predator film in the works, also directed by Dan Trachtenberg. Alien vs. Predator Galaxy confirmed that it was actually an animated feature that would see the Predator’s going up against the samurai.
Following this news, gizmdo/io9 has posted some additional information about the upcoming secret Predator feature. They’ve confirmed that the project will be animated, and that it will “potentially” feature samurai. However, they’ve also shared that it’ll be an anthology film (which we can also corroborate) featuring multiple different eras, including “potentially pirates” and more.
“Multiple sources told io9 that the secret Predator project is in fact an animated feature, as many speculated. The twist though is it’s almost an anthology, telling three separate stories of Predators fighting warriors in multiple eras. One is potentially pirates, one is potentially samurai, and there’s a third one too. io9 reached out to Disney for comment on this but had not heard back as of publication.”
What other eras would you like to see the Predator in? Are you excited about the prospect of an animated feature? Sound off in the comment section below! Thanks to BlackNoir and Bradock for the news!
