After the conclusion of Alien: Romulus’ successful theatrical run, the movie recently released to streaming on October 15th, and we still await the 4K, Blu-Ray, and DvD formats of the film coming on December 13th.
A second Alien (1979) / Alien: Romulus double feature screening recently took place in Los Angeles courtesy of Beyond Fest and American Cinematheque.
Director Fede Álvarez delivered a surprise before the screening that we’ll be getting an additional physical format for the film, a limited edition VHS tape! This will be the first major studio film released to the format since A History of Violence in 2006.
The Cover features the poster artwork of Matt Ferguson.
Before the release of Alien: Romulus, a promotional VHS tape featuring a clip from the movie was sent to press and influencers. A number of people online expressed wanting the opportunity to buy the tape, so it’s great to see the entire movie will be available on the retro format. We’re not sure about pre-order details just yet.
