First Looks At Predator: Badlands Locations, Crew Shirt & Predator Costume!

While Alien: Romulus’ successful theatrical run has taken up a lot of the spotlight within our fandom, the filming of Predator: Badlands finished with very little attention. As with Prey’s production, Dan Trachtenberg’s follow-up Predator film has managed to fly under the radar. What do we know about Predator: Badlands? Very little.

Actor Elle Fanning was reportedly in talks to appear as the lead in the film, and has been seen in New Zealand, where the film is believed to have been shooting. We’ve seen both writer/director Dan Trachtenberg & creature effects wizard Alec Gillic posing in Bethells Beach in Auckland. And thanks to a casting call, we also know Predator: Badlands will feature two sisters, one of whom “has spent most of her life in a laboratory and is now embarking on her first big adventure in the world.”

Filming on Predator: Badlands is believed to have finished in September. Thanks to the sleuthing work of some members of the Alien vs. Predator Galaxy community, we now have pictures of additional locations used during the production of Predator: Badlands! Check them out below!

We also have a shot of Alec Gillis with what appears to be a crew jumper slung over his shoulder while signing a Xenomorph! Those Alien vs. Predator teases keep coming. ;)

And in the background of one of those location pictures is what appears to be a Predator performer (minus the head) rehearsing a scene! Note the arm gauntlets, textured skin and back armor.
