Alien: Rogue Incursion Releasing December 19th – Pre-Orders Live With New Videos!

The upcoming VR game Alien: Rogue incursion now has an official release date! You can strap on your headset to take on the Xenomorphs as Zula Hendricks starting on December 19th.

A couple new videos have dropped for the game with today’s announcement, one showcasing the Xenomorph AI as it tries to attack the player and avoid their fire. The other details some of the weaponry and equipment we’ll be utilizing in the game.

The game will come in a standard edition for $39.99/£32.99 or a deluxe edition for $49.99/£39.99

Players who pre-order the standard edition will receive Alien: Romulus inspired in game cosmetics for a weapon and armor set. We’re taking a wild guess that the weapon will be the new F44AA Pulse Rifle featured in the movie.

Head on over to the Alien: Rogue Incursion website’s pre-order page for full details. You can also pre-order the game directly f0r PS VR2, Meta Quest 3, and SteamVR.

The good folks at Survios were nice enough to sit down with us for an interview during San Diego Comic Con. Keep an eye out for that as we’ll be releasing it early next week after all the opening weekend excitement for Alien: Romulus!

I would never have expected the announcement of Alien Isolation 2 as long as Rogue Incursion had not yet been dealt with and distributed.

The world of the xenomorph is full of surprises.
Keep it up, I have nothing against it.

Loving seeing the frontier revolver back! I'm not sold on the cosmetic changes to the Pulse Rifle though. Not sure what could have necessitated that?
It looks like they're going with a different, possibly older model of the pulse rifle for this game, just going off the designation at least. Seems they're going with an M41 variant instead of the M41A we all know and love. Maybe it's a security model? I can't see corporate security acquiring 40mm grenade launchers

Very fair point! Yeah, I buy that. It does look somewhat older than the 41A. I should re-read that episode of the Bug Hunt, to see if they mention the underslung being added to the base variant. I can't remember off-hand what they detail.
Controversial opinion, I wish Cameron had devised two separate pulse rifle models. Having every section member be a grenadier is a logistical and financial nightmare, with GLs usually being relegated to a specialized role within the section

I've never minded seeing different variants of the pulse rifle. I remember even with AVP 2010 people were irritated about it but I liked having another take on the design.

And yeah it's nice to see that Alien: Isolation revolver back. Seemingly much more effective than it was against Stompy.

Agreed; I feel the same with some of the novels.. they use both Alien and Aliens, but more often than enough it's definitely an 'Aliens' story. I'd love it if titan books used different logos depending on the era.. so Alien for anything up until Aliens, Aliens for marine-based stories ... use the slanted 'A' Alien 3 font for anything post-Fury 161 that isn't 'Aliens', and if it's set in the far future (such as Uncivil War) use the Alien Resurrection font. Star Trek does this quite efficiently with most of their expanded media, you know what era a story is set based solely on the font in most cases.

I don't have VR, but I would honestly get it for this. The price tag is concerning, I did notice it seems to use a lot of assets from older games, but something tells me it's going to be criminally short. I do like how it's an older model of pulse rifle, M41 instead of M41A

Yeah, I'm in the dilemma of whether to pickup the PSVR2 or the Metaquest 3 for this.

On one hand the PSVR2 will allow me to play other VR titles already in my library (Resident Evil 7 looked amazing on PSVR1, so would be good way to play Village, RE4, Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity and Star Trek Bridge Crew too)... on the flip, I recall how bulky it all was with the wiring in the living room.. Metaquest 3 is less restrictive, and it'd mean I could play Rogue Incursion while @Spicy-Nugget937 is on the PS5.. but the only other game on metaquest 3 that I know of that'd be of interest would be Assassin's Creed VR... and they are both pretty much the same price...

I think I'll wait until October to see if there's any truth to that Isolation VR update (and if so, which platforms it's on) 😊👍
