The marketing for Alien: Romulus is reaching unhinged levels and we’re here for it. Though we’re already getting blasted with trailers, tv spots, and featurettes as the days count down to the films release, 20th Century Studios has taken to the streets for a guerilla marketing campaign featuring facehugger ‘victims’ out in public. Eventually even a chestburster pops out in front of onlookers.
This was initially seen at the end of the San Diego Comic Con Alien: Romulus Panel, when the lights dropped to red alarm klaxon lights:

Attendees of San Diego Comic Con also noticed more facehugged individuals ‘incapacitated’ outside of the convention center on the streets of San Diego:
If you may have thought this facehugger outbreak was contained to San Diego, more were spotted on the opposite coast in New York City’s Times Square, with one ‘victim’ even hanging out of a taxi cab sporting an Alien: Romulus light box.
Even more facehugger ‘victims’ were also spotted on the floor of an AMC movie theater lobby and shared to Twitter:
We’ll update this post if there are any other sightings of the Xenomorph infection spotted in the wild.
