Introducing Rain – New Alien: Romulus Behind-The-Scenes Promo

A new behind-the-scenes segment has landed introducing the audience to Cailee Spaeny’s character Rain. The promo features an interview with actress Cailee Spaeny who talks about her character Rain. There are also interviews with co-stars Aileen Wu who plays Navarro and Archie Renaux who plays Tyler. Director Fede Alvarez also discusses Cailee Spaeny’s Rain.

The 1 minute, 7 seconds promo contains scenes from the film as well as scenes shot from behind the scenes. There are a few new scenes in there from Alien: Romulus and some new creature shots, I don’t think we’ve seen before.

Come on folk, let's walk it back here. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a douche, and we really don't have to be aggressive to differing opinions. They're things we can learn from.

re: the life cycle. The Aliens are adaptive creatures, and some flexibility regarding their abilities and methods is something I've learned to appreciate. When there are reasons for it. I struggle with things like Chet where the people making the film didn't even know what reason they were giving.

I like things like the Neomorphs and the motes because they still evoke the same kind of body horror as the face-hugger, but it's too effective compared to the face-hugger. I need some narrative reasons as to why. Granted, that may have come with the 3rd prequel and David designing traits, but we'll never know now.

So I'm certainly open to alternative reproductive methods if they maintain that same invasive, body horror aspect, and also make sense.

Well, people do tend to get personal with things they like. Is it's bad, kinda but it happens more often than you think. Remember that time were, I said if people are going to get offended with me liking the movie. Yeah, that was one of those times. Really wish I wasn't like that. My only hope that as you said I grow out of it.

If I weren't so sensitive about everything, I wouldn't have said that

It's not a matter of preference for me, it's literally one of the defining features of the creature. Without it the first film would never have been made.

We can see in movies that downplay the lifecycle to focus on the adult killing that you could pretty easily swap the Alien for literally anything else and change nothing. Without the lifecycle it's a cool looking monster that bleeds acid blood. With the lifecycle, it's the Alien.

Only people without an imagination can think this way. Think about it around 5 minutes and you'll create something more horrific. If you have the imagination, of course )))

It's got nothing to do with imagination, it's just a preference and a desire to follow established lore. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, so why don't you try to imagine not being such a smug douche.

Ah yes. Your pov is always right, other people are wrong. Maybe you and your beloved SiL didn't nocite that but it's you are smug douches here.

Or maybe some people just like things to be consistent when it comes to biological functions. They are supposed to be aliens, not supernatural-can-do-what-plot-demands-it-to-do.

I definetely don't want to see another newborn or bellybursters. But I also believe that viviparity of xenomorphs is a great idea and new level of threat + predalien is a very gigerish creature and its method of conception should be used again, but maybe for chestbursters.

Ingested some of the black goo giving us the human\alien hybrid that will make a bloody exit her.

Honestly they need to stop adding new alien births. First there was the Newborn, which did have an explanation (the aliens were mutans due to cross dna from cloning) then there was avpr with the predalien and bellybursters.

That is assuming she was infected with something but I guess I wouldn't be surprised what with there being three Aliens and a hybrid. They all had to come from somewhere.

We know she has a disgusting scene that leaves cryobed covered in blood, and trailers showing something like a birthing scene. Something's coming out of that woman.

I can't believe that nobody mentions the actual eggs we see at 0:45. but who knows where when or why this happens because based on everything we know, ovamorphs haven't been shown in context with the Romulus/Remus labs.

    Spoiler
At 1:00 you can see them in the hive holding Kay, who seems to either be unconscious or dead. But, I don't think she is dead, as I see no point for them to carry her body while running from the aliens. So at least we know, all 4 of them make it to the hive, Kay most likely carried by the xeno.
