NECA Officially Reveals Scorched Xenomorph & Accessory Set

After being spotted at the San Diego Comic-Con a few days ago, NECA has now officially revealed their Alien: Romulus lineup of sets. NECA will release the Scorched Xenomorph and an Accessory Set. They are both available to pre-order on NECA’s website. The Scorched Xenomorph is $39.99 and the Accessory Set is also $39.99. They can be both pre-ordered together in a $79.99 bundle.

NECA Alien: Romulus Ultimate Scorched Xenomorph

The 9″ Xenomorph comes with interchangeable dome parts, Fachugger, Chestburster and a display stand.

The 2024 sci-fi/horror-thriller “Alien: Romulus” takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. NECA’s Ultimate action figure version of the Scorched Xenomorph stands over 9 inches tall with 23 points of articulation and features an opening jaw with an extending inner mouth and wired tail.

The screen-accurate figure comes with interchangeable dome parts for a drone Xenomorph Warrior look, perfect for army building! Other accessories include interchangeable hands, facehugger and chestbursters with wired tails, and a display stand for dynamic posing. Comes in window box packaging.

NECA Alien: Romulus Accessory Set

The accessory set comes in window box packaging and includes:

  • Model F44AA Pulse Rifle toy accessory (fits 7” scale figures)
  • Asteroid with fossilized Xenomorph XX121
  • Facehugger and Chestburster with wired tails for posing
  • Cryo frame case with Facehugger and interchangeable damaged plastic parts
  • Facehugger that can go around the heads of most NECA 7-inch scale action figures (figures not included)

Both Alien: Romulus sets will be out in Quarter 4 of 2024.

Curious to everyone's thoughts. Teeth, tail, and frontal head look kinda funky(if this is chap) but I still wanna get
Yeah, seen it! It looks quite nice imo but also rather funky like you said. I still haven't received my Alien: Romulus set, even though I pre-ordered it all the way back in August. So I am a bit hesitant when it comes to pre-ordering more... What caught my attention in this Insta post was the line: 'Based on unreleased scenes from the film.' I don't think any of this was actually shot, but perhaps there are some interesting storyboards and concept art of Big Chap's rampage through the Renaissance Station.

I'm still waiting on mine. I've chased twice and they've assured me it's shipping soon. Are they usually this unreliable? It's the first thing I've ordered from them and tbh doubtful I will again after this experience.

It's my first order from them too so we are both in same escape vessel lol. It's taking ages and I have seen countless reviews of him so it's getting really annoying.

Hopefully it's this week. I was also assured that it was shipped so let's see.

Quote from: Acidforblood75 on Jan 31, 2025, 08:37:34 PMNeca finally shipped my alien romulus figure so waiting on him. Looks the absolute business and I think for a mainline figure he may well be the tallest.

It's funny that Neca are making things bigger and other companies are going the opposite way.
Their fire team elite figures are way smaller, the runner is almost half the size of the Alien 3 one.

Oh yeah for sure. I have the 4 they have issued. They are a lot smaller but they are in scale with the game. The runner alien is small but it's in scale with how it appears.

The alien 3 dog alien is probably too big and shouldn't be near as big as big chap or the alien warrior. The fireteam elite one is more accurate in size to the movie then the official movie one.

It's a bit of both. Neca has had some huge scale creep. Compare their new humans to their old ones. Compare their new Alien and Predator bodies to their old ones. It's just the common (but extremely annoying) phenomena of action figures and miniatures to have scale creep over time.

And the size is wayyyy too big. I'm not sure why they decided to go bigger but maybe this will be their new scale moving forward??

The animatronic in the movie was massive. It looks about accurate next to the Aliens warrior.
Oh, didn't realize that was intentional. Thought they maybe upped the scale for better detailing/etc.

But doesn't surprise me Fede needs his Alien to be the biggest one

    I do love the figures.

Only gripes I have are the jaws being crooked. (I bought 3 of them and they all have it)

Other than that the figure is amazing.

I have about 3 of these on order. Two will have a normal skull and one will have the scorched look. It's a great hive builder and I can't wait to get this guy in hand.

I have a few Neca figures and this guy looks the best.
  9. Master
I got mine already and I have to say it's great figure! If I had to pick one single best looking alien from my collection, it would probably be that one.

I have to admit the guy is huge. It's the size of Newborn and makes classic NECA Aliens look like younger brothers.

I don't know if it should be that big and the scale is entirely right, but I love it! One cool looking Alien!

Inhave a bootleg version of the Covenant alien and its tail feels the same. Why did Neca use a hard plastic instead of a softer rubbery material. This never hsppend on the oldef release. Scorched is one of my favorite designs Necas made and they ruined it with bad QC. Will this be fixed for the next pruduction run
  11. Still Collating...
Damn. I warned on the Discord, I forgot to warn here as well. The tail breaking seems to be a very common problem, enough that people are talking about it online in different places. Some break right away, some are fine at the beginning until you bend too far (though the old tails bent much more easily, the plastic here is thick and stiff), so everyone with the figure, be EXTREMELY careful with your Romulus Alien tails!

Damn thats cool! he say anything fun about it? :)

Not about the figure, but he said I have a cool comic collection! ;D

    Spoiler
Álvarez is cousin of a close friend of mine, he owns a small ranch here in Uruguay. Since Romulus came out, I told my friend that I was going to buy a figure, if it was possible for him to get it signed. My friend said they would probably see each other in December at the ranch.

My friend showed him photos of my comic collection and he said "oh, he is a fan".

I may have to try that.

Totally! I didn't do a great job of capturing a video of it on Scorched, but you can see the light I used here in this shot of Big Chap. It's the one making the blue light on him here. It's a LumeCube with a spotlight attachment on it along with a blue gel to give it that color. I had it really close and turned down on brightness and it gave that specific electrical look.

    https://i.imgur.com/mob8Hih.jpeg

Here is the light itself on their website.

I'm not able to find their modification pack anymore that includes the spotlight, which is also called a "snoot". But here's a link what it looked like. Mine came with a carrying case and little colored gels too. I'm wondering if they've discontinued it.

I'm unsure if this site is reliable, but this is the exact set I have.
