The final trailer for Alien: Romulus has been released! Ahead of its theatrical release on August 16th, 20th Century Studios has released the final trailer for the film. The trailer clocks in at 2 minutes 47 seconds and pieces together a lot of the footage that has been released over the past couple of weeks.
There’s still plenty of new material to feast your eyes on. The trailer begins with the characters discussing where they are going. There is some dialogue from a couple of the new crew members before the trailer picks up with the action beats with the classic Alien sirens pounding out.
What did you guys think of the trailer? Sound off in the comments below.

But I also think that ending is dumb and I watch the AC anyway.
Much more interesting to me that she sacrifices herself on her own terms with one last big ol' f**k you to the company, rather than her being seconds away from dying from the chestburster anyways.
EDIT: Whoops, I'm in the Final Trailer thread. I need to pay more attention before I click things. Still haven't watched that trailer.
It's funny cause I never really thought anything of the theatrical ending growing up, but after seeing the assembly cut ending the theatrical version does seem over the top to a almost comical degree in comparison.
I showed a couple friends Alien3 for the first time a few weeks ago but we went with the Assembly Cut and they enjoyed it. Then I showed them the theatrical version of Ripley's death afterward and they laughed. Loudly.
We only get glimpses of what happens to Navarro in the trailer.

Imagine thinking she's 'unimpressed' and being so negative about it? I mean she's clearly in shock in the trailer. She's just put some portable medical scanner on herself (after presumably having been facehugged, all traumatic itself) and discovered something is smashing at the inside of her chest. How is she supposed to react?
Many people that suffer traumatic injuries that hurt a lot (severe broken bones etc) exhibit exactly the same kind of reactions. They aren't yelling or screaming or throwing themselves around in a fit because adrenaline has kicked in.
I'd say only one death has been revealed, although not even fully shown. That's pretty great.

Wu's character is a given since long ago.

However, as for an original movie is concerned, it is possible to play on variations about the creature, but where is the surprise, where is the originality? Of course one can find pleasure in the repetition of the usual schemes. But is it as great as having the feeling of watching something really fresh and new (although it could still be a variation) in what regards the creature? Well, that is the question.
I think that Scott was quite right in his first assessment; of course he changed his mind just a biter later and appears fickle about that kind of things these last years. He had a ridiculous discourse about History in the promotion of his movie about Napoleon, for example. He is still amazing in his craft, of course, nonetheless.
I think the editing was slightly out as I also noticed the words are out of synch with his lips when he says "let's go"
Thanks for clearing that up. I think it sounds weird but ok.
It's Andy.

Well, given what we've heard so far, I'm hoping Romulus does just that.
Ridley said in recent interviews that he thought Alien was cooked but that he admits Fede breathed new life into it. Hopefully this may influence his thinking if Alien Destiny is ever to see the light of day. And hopefully voices will be loud enough to tell him the vast majority don't want David in the chair.
Give us a decent conclusion to David's story.
Still, I hope that there will be a few discoveries and innovations in this movie. I hope it will be a success, but at the same time, I'd very much like to see more "conceptual" and a bit more ambitious (invention-wise) new entries into this universe (because, well, the good old xeno is no longer "alien" enough, notably). It could be great to have an Andor in that fictional universe, something a bit different but propelled by more "mainstream" other projects, if you see what I mean. (And speaking of video games if we could get in a few years a spiritual sequel to Alien Isolation, I would be very happy - and very frightened hahaha).
Where is the fun in that?
Weird that most of the Romulus articles on that "site" have no comments whatsoever.
I lasted as long. Hahaha. Just watched it. Not too many new reveals which is great. Can't fricken wait for this film.
