    Hopefully getting mine tomorrow!

I've just returned from watching Deadpool tonight and got to see the bucket on display which looks nice, I'll hold off until next Friday if I get it. Also I tried to order that Alien themed cocktail from the bar (which the App says is in stock at my local odeon), and the staff had no idea what I was even talking about.

At least it looks like AMC isn't dropping their stuff until showtimes start.

Unlike this fiasco with the Cinemark buckets 2 weeks ahead of time. They're all sold out in my area and I've seen lots of people flipping them online for 2-3x the price fresh from the theater  >:(

Just talked to a manager at Regal and they said they're most likely going to start selling their stuff the week of release, probably the Wednesday before.

Not sure if that'll be the same for all locations, but that's what I was told.

They apparently started selling them this past weekend along with the Deadpool merch. Trust me.. I called everywhere. Get them while you can, most theaters said they won't restock.

    You're doing the lord's work!

Watch this if you want to get incredibly frustrated.

Theaters releasing movie merch like that weeks before the actual movie is dumb. I don't understand why they wouldn't save that stuff til opening night for actual fans..

    Oof that has me worried

For another thing I always like to get stuff like this on the night I go see the movie. Just makes it all part of the experience. But releasing weeks ahead and having to worry about them selling out due to scalpers and such ruins that.

The theaters 100% need to put a delay on when employees can buy this stuff to avoid this type of situation. But the theater gets their money no matter what, so they probably don't care.

I agree, it's not fair to the customers.

Ive been kicking around getting a 2nd job at a theater, maybe now's the perfect time so I can get dibs 😂

    I support this!

(Please can I have dibs too? :P  )

Theater manager: So, just to be clear, if we hire you you're going to work and NOT buy up all the Alien buckets to send to your AVPG friends, right?

    Man I feel that
Times are tough and I've been having to scrape by a little more than usual myself.

On top of that a lot of collectible buckets and stuff like this have been selling out quick lately and getting scooped up by scalpers. Saw someone online saying that a lot of cinemarks have theirs sold out day one in part because employees buy them up.

Probably won't be able to get them all like I'd like to, but if I can get at least one bucket and a cup I'll be satisfied

Quote from: Mike's Monsters on Jul 22, 2024, 07:33:47 PMI noticed they tagged the stop motion artist who works at NECA for this Facehugger thing on the Instagram posts for it. He does contract work for a lot of other companies, so I'm not thinking this is NECA exactly. Not entirely sure what it is myself. It could be a canister of green ooze with a Facehugger inside that you can remove, maybe? Some clarity would be nice!

Yeah it would be cool to know what it is exactly. I would imagine it's some kind of cup or something. I think Cinemark will sometimes have non-food related collectibles but I'm not sure on Regal tbh. I think I've only ever seen general food/drink things from them.

Either way I'm adding it to the collectible hunt in August (to the detriment of my wallet lol)
