Prey Score by Sarah Schachner Getting Mondo Vinyl Release!

It’s taken almost a year, but we’re finally starting to see a bit of Prey merchandise on the horizon. Just announced by Fangoria was something we were hoping for, a 140g vinyl of the film’s excellent score composed by Sarah Schachner.

The Mondo release will be kicking off with a glow in the dark version of the vinyl exclusive to attendees of Texas Frightmare Weekend which runs from May 26th to 28th in Irvine, Texas. This edition will be limited to 500, with a ‘laser sights’ coloration coming later as the standard wide-release.

Spencer Hickman, Mondo Music’s Senior Creative Director had this to say to Fangoria about the score:

“Sarah Schachner’s score to Prey is nothing short of a revelation; it’s super intense, moody, yet playful in places; this is a string-heavy score and all the better for it. Schachner layers sounds in a beautiful and mesmerizing way with vocals weaving in and out of the music, giving it an ethereal, otherworldly sound that is completely her own.”

The tri-color standard version is set to be available online next week.
