As the currently in pre-production Alien series continues to move closer to filming, we now have our first confirmed casting! Actor Sydney Chandler has been cast to lead Noah Hawley’s FX Alien series.
This casting news is confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, though was actually first exclusively reported on by Giant Freaking Robot (go figure) a few days back.
Chandler has likely been cast as the series main character, known as Wendy in the series’ development. She previously starred in the FX series Pistol.

The infamous Sigourney Weaver as Ripley was the one hero I ever taped up onto my wall. I cannot express. I’m ready to work my ass off and give this project all the blood, sweat, and tears. It's GFR, so I'm absolutely sure it isn't true. But also, I would be very down for this to be true (even if I'd prefer the continuation of David's story to be in a film).
There were rumors years ago about two shows being in development, one being Hawley's and another one being Scott's, long before Hawley's was ever actually confirmed. Pretty funny that some silly asspull of a rumor from GFR of all places circles us back to that rumor now...

Maybe I'm stretching here, and maybe there's a lot of shit talking that I haven't seen. Just something interesting I've noticed.
Wendy, it seems, since she's cited as being the lead.
I remember in 2021 they wrote an article saying Henry Cavill and Bryan Cranston would be in a spy movie together. A month later, 'Argylle' was officially announced, with a crazy cast, including Henry Cavill and Bryan Cranston.
Anyway, it seems like a great choice! Happy to know that she's a fan of Ripley and Alien.

A stopped clock is right twice a day. They've shared our own scoops in the past, still doesn't do much to fix their credibility in my eyes.
That said, I'm glad to finally have some casting news! I assume she's playing Wendy. I'm not familiar with Sydney though, so I'm going to have to try watching some of her other projects.
If she acts half as good as she looks, we are in for a serious f**king treat here.
