While filming started on Fede Alvarez’s upcoming addition to the Alien franchise earlier this month, details on the film have remained very sparse. Thanks to several audition videos that have made their way online, we now have some details about the world Alien: Romulus is set in. Beware some potential major spoilers.
The audition videos – all for a character called Bjorn – contain three different scenes. The first scene finds Bjorn approached by two characters, Rain (who Alien vs. Predator Galaxy understands to be the film’s main character, probably portrayed by Cailee Spaeny) and her android “brother” Andy. Bjorn tells Rain that he’s discovered an abandoned Weyland-Yutani ship and wants to use Andy to gain access, as Andy was manufactured by the Company.
The second scene finds Andy and Bjorn alone, presumably aboard the previously mentioned Weyland-Yutani. Bjorn is clearly disturbed by the situation, and Andy is attempting to calm the spooked Bjorn by telling him a joke. Bjorn clearly isn’t fond of Rain’s synthetic brother, telling Andy that he can’t wait to never see him again.
The third and final scene sees Bjorn saving another character from what I presume to be a facehugger. The dialogue seems to revolve around whether it had time to finish the implantation. Bjorn is clearly in a very agitated state by this point and attempts to escape, but Andy blocks his way. Bjorn appears to shoot Andy.
You can find the audition videos below to watch the scenes in full!

They've been either removed or (more likely) password secured now. They should have been password secured since the beginning, but the actors accidentally uploaded them without that extra bit of security which is how we (temporarily) got to see them in the first place.
Mary Celeste!😅👉👈
There was a real-world ship called Romulus during WWII, which was also part of the Romulus class destroyer series.
Would be interresting to see if there was ever a Romulus ship mentioned in a Joseph Conrad novel.
[Edit]Actually it seems Romulus is quite a popular ship name. Many modern ships with that name as well as older sailing vessels.
But the Covenant, long since abandoned by David as he's moved onto other projects, drifting onto the doorstep of some random planet or being stumbled upon by salvagers in the ass end of space? I'd be all for seeing that on screen.
Ah, a perfect little biomech nightmare world ruled by David
But I suppose you could argue that it would most likely be ID'd in conversation as a "military" or "marine ship," but this could also depend on how the beacon was broadcasting, possibly.
It's also a draft/audition and this is obviously just speculation for entertainment purposes.
I would love it however, if the film took place on board the Sulaco and its was a midquel. A series of midquels has been my pitch for how to repair this franchise for a long time. It's also never been done before as a series, and makes for a nice new buzzword.
As a side note, I'd just like to add that I hope that one actor whose audition hasn't been removed, doesn't get the part. No offense, I'm sure he is a nice person.
As much as I want it to be the Covenant, have to accept more likely it's not

I'm surprised he would just post them publicly. It could of course be completely unrelated to the story and just examples of scenes.
Yeah, I'm getting very similar vibes from that particular scene. A lot of this corroborates some other information I've got too.
