New Prey TV Spot Shows Feral Predator’s Cloak, Vision Modes and Gadgets!

A brand new Prey TV Spot has been released showing plenty of new Predator action! The 30-second clip has surfaced on the Canadian 20th Century Studios social media channels and begins with a new shot of the Feral Predator uncloaking in the dark forest.

We see the Predator’s new vision mode and many of the Predator gadgets are shown like his wrist gauntlet and speargun. I believe some of the shots in this promo are not in the final film, however and may contain unfinished visual effects shots. You can watch the promo below and find screenshots of the new scenes.

Another question, what is the criteria for Disney to judge "Prey" a success for their online streaming?
is it included with the nembership or a separate rental? And they can probly see hoe many people are watching it.

    BigDaddyJohn, I apologise.

What i posted i dont even know if i´m right or not. (Since Corporal Hicks edited, i´m pretty sure it´s related) anyway....

I mean no offense but since the thread was about a new video with new shots, and it was SPOILERS Tagged i tought pretty much everybody in the thread would be discussing about the new footage.

    Again, i apologise.

    Regards.

Maybe don't go in threads discussing videos if you're that desperate to avoid spoilers?

Like I get not wanting major plot points spoiled but nothing in that post spoils the the story.

If screenshots and descriptions of contextless shots are spoilers maybe avoid the whole topic until Friday :-\

Maybe, just maybe they finally got the Infrared vision right since the first two Predator films. Compared to Predators(s) and "The" Predator, and the first AVP, it looks like they finally got it right. Requiem has really been the only one that has captured the distorted infrared from the first two Predator films, albeit slightly updated just for modern film making. I've say out of all the elements of the Predators we've gotten, when the infrared isn't consistent, it's what frustrates me the most.

Oh, the actual cloaking effect follows the same kind of lines in the film and I love it.

    Spoiler
There's some fantastic shots where it's more translucent, than transparent, and you can see like the Predator's skin as the camera moves before it becomes more invisible again.

I thought they did a really good job on making it seem less advanced, but still keeping within that spirit.

I just noticed that the speargun bolts actually "float" before firing and aren't actually mechanically shot.

Slow down the clip and you'll see an effect under the hovering bolt.

Could be wrong, but the shot of him loading the bolt into the speargun in this tv spot isn't in the film. I didn't recognize it. Unless it happens very fast, it's not in the film. There's a few clips from the trailer that weren't in the final film as well.

Could it be they're adding a few bits which were still in post-prod at the time they showed the initial screening?

Have to say Feral's hand looks obviously latex in that shot; so maybe they're still adding/amending VFX stuff and are just padding out the TV slots?

That shot in the clip looked very unfinished, but I can't see where they'd add it in the movie with how tight and well it flows. Honestly, it doesn't take away from the movie being in the shot. And we have it in this clip, which is cool. But yes; it might not be in the film because the VFX were not finished or maybe the shot just didn't look that great compared to the rest and decided to drop it. Marketing often has trailer only shots and clips, so this is nothing new.

Yeah it's the first thing which has stood out to me as possibly sub par. If it's a fleeting shot IE - he draws the bolt and drops it into the whole mag lev thing then it'll be a split second and the eyes will be drawn to the Bolt/Gun floating about.

But it's probably the fact it's a still which is massively exacerbating the prosthetics there, I think. The fingers look like sausages and I don't like the ridges on the knuckles. Conversely - his Right hand looks really well done by comparison so I think it's just the way the Left hand has been framed in the still.
