NECA Aliens: Fireteam Elite Series 2 Announced: Spitter & Burster

Earlier this Spring we had a look at the first series of figures coming from NECA based on the Cold Iron Studios video game Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Once we saw the reverse of the Series 1 packaging we knew what would be coming next and now it’s been announced proper.

Series 2 of the game’s collection features the Spitter Alien and Burster Alien figures. They’re scheduled to ship soon but retailer availability may see their release closer to August. The game-accurate 7-inch scale figures are based on the Xenomorph variants that cause a whole lot of acid flying problems for the Colonial Marines.

“Set in the iconic Alien universe, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is the newest videogame to pit humans against Xenomorphs in a desperate fight to survive the hive.

NECA is pleased to present a line of detailed action figures depicting the aliens seen in the game. The second series includes Burster Alien and Spitter Alien, which stand almost 9-inches tall and have nearly 30 points of articulation. Both figures feature game-accurate sculpts, bendable tails, and window box packaging.”

The figures are slated for release in June. They can be ordered individually or as a two-pack and pre-orders are now up on Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth.

Hopefully we see more announcements for Aliens: Fireteam Elite collectibles in the future as the game is ramping up to release its first major expansion.

It's cool and all, but think I'll pass on this one. The ceiling with wires accessory is a nice touch with the acid effect.

They maybe could have announced 2 items, this & The Offspring I guess?

Quote from: (Bad Blood) on Mar 25, 2025, 08:32:12 PMI recently got the Ultimate Aliens Blue Xenomorph Warrior figure and I love it! This is the original ultimate that came out in 2017 which had painted toenails and brownish highlights on the body as well as blue which mirrors the 1/4 scale alien warrior paint job. The later reissues had no silver paint on the toenails and lacked the body color highlights. This older version you can find on eBay but it's far more rare. I've only seen three of the hundreds of newer ones. https://i.ibb.co/Jwr46rKY/IMG-20250325-145318138.jpg
The one I have has copper highlights and silver fingernails but not toenails. Bigchap and the Warrior use the same torsos on the Neca figures, but what is it actually accurate two? Doesn't big chap have a different number of ribs?
I believe they will absolutely do an alien earth figure or two. They did mention in an interview they were mostly only focusing on new stuff from films etc.

Ah, the newer ones I think in every way besides the toenails, have a better paint job. Especially the head, it just looks more clean. I like both the new and reissue.

Also I did some research to answer your question and it turns out Big Chap and the Alien warriors from aliens have the same number of ribs in the torso. So surprisingly it is accurate on neca's part to reuse the torso.

Yeah You're right. I have Gibson's script commie... I mean comics. Lot's of UPP out there, but I liked arm mounted machine gun.

About Commando, I certain I've seen artwork or concept with red star on helmet.

Since I got my Romulus figures and accesories, I decide to update my W-Y Commando collection (I love W-Y Commando). I even managed to acquire one additional Commando for the new accesories, but wanted to share whole team, as I customed them abit.

Fifth Commando got the newest addition to Alien arsenal, the F44AA Pulse Rifle and Cryo Frame Case with Chestburster in it. I must admitt NECA did one hell of a job with F44AA. It looks absolutely spectacular for such small piece of plastic.

Finally, I do have request for You guys. NECA made name stickers for four Commandos, but I don`t want the fifth one to remain nameless forever. I`m leaning towards Destroyer, but am open for some cool sugestions (preferably starting with letter D,E,F or G).

    P.S.

I do remember an art of W-Y Commando with red star on the helmet, but I can`t seem to find it. If you do have it, I`d be greatfull. Thanks!

Entertainment Earth! :) Looks like they have one left for anyone interested. Mine was delivered the other day and it looks very nice.

    Ultimate Dog Alien

They're also the site with Big Chap 1/4 scale on back order. I'm hoping they deliver on this one!

Not that I'm a fan of A3 or the Runner Alien, but I'd like to see a 1/4 scale produced.

That Alien, in particular, has an incredible amount of surface detail that can only be fully realised in the larger scale.
didt that come out years ago?

Just Big Chap and ALIENS Warrior at the 1/4 scale.
sorry I was referring to bigchap, I didn't know they made a Warrior aswell.

The Neca 1/4 scale Big Chap originally came out in 2008, then was reissued in 2015 with a new, improved sculpt - and in two versions: sealed lips and the other, with exposed teeth, and in 2019, for the 40th anniversary, in Kenner-inspired packaging. It's the same 2015 sculpt, but with new colours and a darker dome.

Does anyone think more of the 1/4th Big Chap (40th anniv version) will be produced?

I'm contemplating picking one up on the secondary market, but...I'd rather not if I can just get one new and for a more normal price.

I saw the Queen recently had another run and I luckily picked her up.

I do have the 2015 1/4th big chap, but I kind of like the new paint job on the 40th anniversary version.

    https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51qEpJ-p8-L.jpg

Those work very well too! I went with the flex arm base just because you can place it in places not around the waist, giving it less of a footprint on the silhouette. I clip it to the bottom back tubes at an angle. Looks fairly decent. Though it is more noticeable than a clear stand obviously.

Quote from: Corporal Hicks on Oct 22, 2024, 01:47:21 PMThanks for the link. Doesn't look like it has any pegs on the base? Do you have the figure just standing on its own in those first pictures?

Most welcome. It does not unfortunately, however you could always add a clear Neca or other base stand on top of it if so desired if you liked the bases appearance. The alien I actually surprisingly got to stand on its own even on the balls of its feet. I used the tail as a counterbalance opposite of whatever side the alien tended to lean. It never fell over and had it like this until I reposed it.

That it is, and thank you! It is the 2018 Ultimate Aliens Warrior Alien (brown version) the most common one you will see on eBay these days. I find it's better painted than the 2017 ultimate release with a less flat brown and more metallic shine. Oh this stand is awesome! I picked it up on Amazon recently. It has 5 different grip options and multiple ports for the base and flex arm. Suitable for anything from 1/12 up to 1/6th, maybe even 1/4 with the crotch attachment. It's $12.99 where I am in the US. If anyone is curious as to why I chose to have the feet that way, it is due to several factors I discovered while watching the film and behind the scenes closely. Also some practical reasons that the feet in Aliens were designed that way. Only the Xenomorph Warriors from Aliens 1986 stand this way, not Big Chap from Alien 1979.
    1. In a few images in the film and behind the scenes footage, you can see the actors standing on their tip toes (balls of their feet).
    2. The extended toe coming out of the side of the foot acting almost as a stability anchor for balance being close to the front toes would make sense for something standing on the ball of the foot. Standing on the ball of the foot as well gives the actors added height.
    3. In other media released by 20th Century Fox, it actually depicts this very thing.

Speaking of the Classics line, I remember picking up that Neomorph at Target and being so happy to get it as I never saw any of the Covenant stuff anywhere and then somehow not realizing at first about the goofy mouth it had. Such is life though.

    That's a shame, they're fun toys.

Granted I think they might have sold better if they'd been treated like the Lanard stuff and were priced accordingly ($10ish per figure) and placed in the actual toy aisle of major retailers alongside stuff like TMNT and Masters of the Universe, as opposed to priced at like $20/figure and put in the collector's corner of Target only.

On the flip-side though I do love the Ultimate figures (especially with extra accessories and alternate heads).
Neca should do an Aliens: Fireteam Elite marine in Ultimate - giving us a selection of alternative heads so it has options for a number of different marine characters.
