Following the leak of Prey’s full trailer over the weekend, 20th Century Fox has officially released the 2 minute trailer on their YouTube channel, alongside a brand new poster that has been shared on official social channels!
Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
The brand new poster depicts Amber Midthunder’s Naru with Predator blood in the place of warpaint across her face, and a Predator’s targeting laser in her eye.
Prey is currently slated for release on Hulu on the 5th of August. There is still no news on International releases, but we continue to expect it to be available via Star or Disney+ around the same time.

Deciding to go to streaming after the fact is what caused all kinds of headaches for WB during their HBOMax covid release. If the decision was made before anything was signed, and the greenlight was given, then obviously the odds start dropping.
Or maybe I'm just thinking in circles here, to try and stay optimistic.
Mfw December 2022 and no Prey 4K Blu-ray steelbook.
Deep Water has no physical release as of yet.
I just checked on all 13 films on this list:
https://www.highonfilms.com/best-hulu-original-films/
Out of all 13 films on here, the following have NO physical releases:
Vacation Friends (2021)
False Positive (2021)
No Exit (2022)
Plan B (2021)
Fresh (2022)
Then these films only have releases in a few non-US countries:
The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2021)
Boss Level (2021)
Happiest Season (2020)
Bad Hair (2020)
Run (2020)
Big Time Adolescence (2020)
Palm Springs (2020)
The only film on this list that got physical releases in the US, (along with Canada and the UK, but no other countries), was the oldest film featured:
Minding the Gap (2018)
So this doesn't bode well for Prey. Granted, none of the films on that list were part of major IP's, but we already see that they aren't putting Star Wars shows on discs.
They don't want you to buy a $25 blu-ray and be done with it. They want you to spend a monthly fee until you die.

I see Mandalorian has a blu-ray release.
Not to mention the likely lack of any sort of behind-the-scenes content or special features.
That's the most important part frankly.
We're hoping for a small select theatrical run, and the director hinted at that too. No official word yet though.
I like how people post silly stuff like this, when we've posted articles making it clear that none of what they're complaining about is actually true. Do people actually read the news stories posted here? Or just pop into drop a huge shit take in the toilet and forget to flush? We aren't your toilet!
Lol f**king drama queen.
I agree that she will more than likely kill the Predator at the end for those exact reasons. The only way I see a Predator surviving at the end of Prey is if there is multiple preds which is still possible I suppose.
Generally speaking though, I think it would be refreshing- and yeah fan service- to see a Predator live at the end.
They should have done this with Fugitive in The Predator as he takes down the bigerererrr Predator- but that was one of many things they failed on with that movie.
Lack of interesting human characters, lack of interesting story, bad directing, lack of light, stupid dialogue. I'd say that ruined the movie.
Honestly, I think that's what will happen.
In every single movie weve had so far, the "main" Pred got nuked at the end. Six (!) movies in a row doing that.
I think after six movies ending with a dead Pred, this would be the breath of fresh air the franchise needs. No new sub-species or upgrades or whatever, just let the Pred live for a change. That would different enough from any of the others.
You dont even need to kill the main character to make it work. Let their fight end with a draw, or with her gaining the Preds respect, or something else along those lines.
The new AVP cinematic universe begins here (though all joking aside, I'd be totally down for it beginning here)!
I also remember in the screentests that it came out that she's initially being forced into something of a "healer" role within her tribe before she tries to become a hunter, so maybe she'll end up using poison in some way (poison-tipped arrow?) thanks to her knowledge of local plants and medicines to weaken or kill it.
Either way yeah, it's crazy the amount of comments there seem to be about Comanches standing no chance because they're primitive or whatever. It's like......did you not watch the first film even a little bit? Or do you remember the end credits coming up after the scene where everyone is blasting the jungle?
Combine this with a tar pit.
