The thrilling full-length trailer has seemingly been leaked for the upcoming Predator sequel Prey! The leaked trailer comes from the way of the LeaksAndRumors subreddit. The 2 minute 8 seconds trailer sees Naru, the highly skilled warrior of the Comanche Nation, played by Amber Midthunder.
The trailer introduces us to Naru hunting a bear but as she is pursued by the bear, something else kills it before it reaches her. She realises there’s something else out there and she tries to warn her tribe. There’s lots of action in the latter half of the Predator trailer.
Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
The upcoming Predator sequel will be directed by Dan Trachtenberg and stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane Diliegro and Stefany Mathias. The release date for Prey is still the 5th of August and it will exclusively come to Hulu in the United States.
What did you guys think of the trailer? Sound off in the comments below. It looks very action-packed and I’m really liking Amber Midthunder. There is a few glimpses of the new Predator. Check out the image below for a clear shot of the hunter:

Update 2# (07/06/22) – 20th Century Studios has officially released the trailer!
Oh don't worry there's no watermark on the trailer. It's only on the thumbnail!
Ahah yep I remember doing the same! Most of the time it comes from the official site from the Studio behind the movie/show. But I often see people on the internet posting ProRes that you literally can't find anywhere so I'm not even sure where they came from.
I love this poster
what a shame.
Youtube compression. Let's hope for a ProRes version soon!
very pixilated for a offical trailer release
Think I'll just stick with the leaked version whenever I want to rewatch it, since it's exactly the same and nearly as good quality, but without those two big distractions in the top corners.
Either way though, the trailer itself continues to look great!

Great. Hopefully someone will find a ProRes version somewhere soon!
Agreed; it's great to see another Predator that actually looks and behaves monstrous and otherworldly. We've gotten several watered down versions over the years, which - don't get me wrong - I've enjoyed to a certain extent, but it's so good to get back to the bones of the original Predator For that, I'm more than willing to accept a change in appearance if they're wanting to go that route. If that's what it takes to re-ignite the mystery and horror into the movies.
Yup, the bear is actually going to be replaced with the Predator, and the cloaked Predator lifting him up will be Bigfoot.
Yeah! That axe flip really got me. I love little shows of character like that - made me think of Fugitive's thumbs up. Which I f**king loved.
This trailer really got me hyped. Worries about the actual Predator face, I do love the bone mask. I'm a fan of the open masks like Ahab or the AvP Elder's (considerations of being a poor helmet look aside) as I think they look wicked, so I'm really happy to see that here!
The trailer actually makes the Predator look scary! I really dig that. It's nice to have that feel again. And he looks agile too! I love it. Looks like an absolute beast from the footage so far.
I am really excited to see this!!!
We'll do a Motion Tracker when it drops officially.
I don't think it's rocking a shoulder cannon this time. This trailer made it look more like a projectile.
They've always been cheaters.
Yeah, I think a lot of us were hoping for that but it was always a stretch.
100% they are. I love them poking fun at that.
I think the new design kicks ass. Original, tribal and menacing. Not the glorified power ranger looking monstrosity, we got in the last film.
Never understood why it's so difficult to keep in line with what Stan Winston did with predator. All these whacky ideas were never needed. They are mysterious, arrogant creatures imo and I like it that way.
Looking forward to seeing a detailed look at the new design properly.
There is one thing however I'm worried about, I'm sure one for you fine gents can point me in the right direction!
So in prey it's set in 1719 and is supposed to be the predator's first ever hunt. I find this strange considering greybacks flintlock was from Raphael Adolini in 1715. Could he actually of acquired this later? It seems so strange that the dates are so close yet dont align if this is the first ever predator to earth. It wouldn't sit well with me if the lore of P2 is ignored. Perhaps I'm missing something?
Every time i see such kind of posts prior to release and afterwards people start to diz right after new movie released ))) at the same time i do hope that eventually studio somehow will make something viewable

Wow that's was a fantastic read. I had no clue that was the plan for Fox. I guess that why the announced the alien movie on Hulu as well. It's a shame the brand from both alien & predators has taken such a hit that Fox doesn't think it's theater worthy. Make you wonder if it becomes a huge hit on Hulu they might just assume that's its market now
Not limited release. Only two movies Fox in year since 2022/2023. In only Avatar, Free guy 2. Movies big. ONLY Blockbusters, ONLY two in year. ONLY successful movies.
Fox movies shot prior to the Fox purchase (Free Guy, New Mutants, Death in Nile). Some 40 films were required to be theatrically released by pre-purchase contracts.
In cinema Fox is the new Disney2.0. In platform Hulo is old Fox.
From this year that changes. Only two releases a year and only big budget mega hits. The rest of the Fox-style movies (Oscars, independent, medium R movies) only Disney + / Hulo.

Maybe if the reaction is great enough then Disney/Fox will toss it in theaters for a limited release. It really all depends on if people watch it & add Hulu. If it's a hit you probably have a better chance at the sequel being a limited release before. I hope things can change, I would love the option to see it in the big screen.
One of my favorite things about new predators in each film isn't just the gear and the look, but I also love how the vocal sounds expand and evolve with every movie. Personally I love the sounds Berserker and the others made in Predators, I thought it was really great. It's one of the most enjoyable parts in experiencing a new predator, for me. Of course you need the classic roar, or a variation of it, but still.
Has the suit actor been 100% confirmed yet?
I think it greatly depends on the director's vision and needs regarding how he feels the predator should move.
Yeah I can definitely see something like that happening.
IIRC some tribes would trade with the Europeans/Settlers so it could be that there's a treaty of sorts established until as you say people go missing and/or bodies turn up.
The scene where she's talking tonher brother/elder by firelight and she looks to the trees and sees blood spill or whatever it was will be the "oh shit she was right!" moment, IMO.
Which could also perhaps lead to increased tension between the Comanche and settler characters. The settlers are out killing and skinning animals for their pelts, then they begin finding their own people hung up and skinned and they think it's the Comanches who are doing it out of revenge. Settlers attack Comanches, Predator weighs in, big ol' battle takes place etc.
IIRC, wasn't there a casting announcement for a French Trapper via IMDB a few months back?
Most likely the Europeans taking pelts and animals from under the Natives as they did back then.
Perfect place for a Pred to disguise some of it's kills, though, IMO.
It sounded like it might be a bow shot that follows the triangle laser targeting - which would be fitting.
As for the Predator design thus far, I am a fan. Granted we don't really get a solid view of the face but the mask and dreadlocks are refreshing looking. And the body looks built but not bulky - really liked the shot of the Predator climbing and jumping from the trees to showcase how agile it is.
