Updated: Check Out This Extended Alien: Covenant Shower Scene!

YouTuber Video Drechsler has recently uploaded what appears to be an extended version of Alien: Covenant’s shower scene in which Callie Hernandez’s Upworth and Jussie Smollett’s Ricks are killed by the Alien aboard the Covenant. The new footage sees the Alien use its tail to bring Upworth closer to her, before pouncing on her. Click the image below to take you to the age restricted video.

It’s currently unknown where Video Drechsler found this extended footage and it would seem they overlaid some new music to the additional footage as well. Let us know what you think of this extended footage in the comments below! Thanks to cafam2000 for sharing on our forums!

OMFG, I always lived with the doubt of know how Upworth was to be killed and now I know that. It was amazing, thank u but, do you know where is the video with the original sound??

The tail grab is creepy. I'd have preferred that stay in. The window tackle could go.

But then again, if the film cut away after the tail sliding between her legs, audiences would complain that it's exactly the same as Lambert's death. (And that whole final sequence aboard the Covenant is already too similar to the first film.)

Yeah, but nothing compared to Giger's sketches. NSFW

    Spoiler

Its a good scene but no way should it be in the movie.  After what they have just been through having a jump in the shower would be the last thing on their minds,  even if she is rather sexy.

Referencing The Chaos edition fancuts, I think Prometheus benefits more from the extended scenes

I watched the Covenant one and it threw nearly everything extra in it and it was flirting from a distance at 3 hours 😄

It was a little bit too much but what it achieved is an epicness and a bigger emotional investment made (for the time spent taken to watch somewhat I admit) but for example the photo of the Covenant crew shown towards the end was kinda moving & wonderfully sad 😄

But setting that aside, despite The Last Supper omission, Evanus made the best Covenant edit with the Crossing spliced but in the right places, could be wrong but as I recall the main chunk of it is when Walter confronts David to fess up and it's classy placed there

    Anyway off topic sorry 😄

Shame, I think everyone can agree that both prequels are much better films, almost excellent when extended by all the extras evidenced by the best fancuts
If they had been released like that, pretty confident the hate would be considerably less but hey ho here we are

I think when David was explaining to Oram and the others about his arrival with Dr. Shaw, the Crossing flashback would have been a good fit, but only that part. The genocide on the Engineers is fine in the theatrical cut order (the ozimandias poem and all that).

I think the jump through would make more sense if the Alien didn't drag her in close first. Leap at her or pull her in, doing both is just weird - and not in a cool alien way.
The tongue shooting through the guy's head and coming out his mouth looks stupid - almost as bad as that Chestburster scene from ALIEN Resurrection.

This extended death scene would've been improved (imo) by having the dude turn to face it - then cop it right in the face and through the head (like the prisoner from ALIEN3). And drop the dive through the shower glass.

Oh well ... it's still an improvement on the theatrical version.

    Tail grab is cool.
    Window jump is nice.
Extra Upworth butt is probably the highlight though.

Window jump looks a bit like Lope's son is trying to save her  :D

Lope' son: Shh..keep quiet, I know what this looks like but I not going to hurt you. He's watching us through the cameras. If you help me get to the bridge, maybe I can dismantle the robot.

At last, you've found the answer to your question: Can Aliens develop a civilized society?

Yeah, I wonder where it came from and why this wasn't on the Blu-Ray.

Can somebody download it as a video file and share it? I want to upload it here in case it gets taken down. I've tried all my usual tricks and I can't seem to get it to download because it's behind an age gate.

Edit: Nevermind, got it eventually. Here's the backup. I'll have to add this to the Deleted Scenes page.

Yeah its well worth putting in the directors cut or just bonus contents online or whatever. I'm not sure if placing it in would have caused too much controversy at the theatres but Im sure it would have.
